May 21, 2014 6:51 AM in response to Adrian Senby Puma-IT,Hi Adrian,
Well if Apple is still a little connected to customers' needs, they will love to hear this!! With my experience of Apple (20 years), I waited to need it before taking an iPhone, and I had a Samsung Galxy S for a long while (still working, but slow and stuck in time becasue of no "legal" Android OS update). The first generation is usually tricky, like all major updates. Except for security concerns or urgent need, I always wait a week or two before applying any software update, and even more if it is a major one. But I did not wait for iOS 7 because the phone was new and nearly no custom settings. I should have waited v 7.x+1...
We, as a community and regular customers, will be more than happy to know your experience with these devices, as you will be able to make some meaningful comparisons.
Looking forward to know more!!
All the Best,
Hervé

May 22, 2014 12:29 AM in response to Hakan Meriby DiPhone4s,Hey any luck with your camera?
I've been using a 4s for over 2 years and I've been on iOS 7 since it released. but suddenly my back camera has just stopped working, it just shows a black screen and no controls work until i turn it to the front camera and none of the camera using apps work properly either (obviously). so i'm guessing it's a hardware issue with my back camera because the front one still works fine.
anyway i'm out of warranty. so i just wanted to know how you got your issue sorted!
Anyone have any suggestions please?

May 25, 2014 6:57 AM in response to smevansby AnkitSG,My iPhone 5 camera is also not working. Only 21 months old phone and problem started. Is Apple compromising with the Hardware quality ?

May 26, 2014 2:53 PM in response to smevansby savta24,My iphone 5 camera has been turning pink for months since installing ios 7 - It needed to 'rest' by turning it off for an hour, then was up and running normally...until yesterday when the screen went black. I tried rebooting - didn't work. Tried resting the darling - didn't work.
I tried the pressure routine and rebooting - voila!! My camera is working again - hope it lasts!
Thanks for the great suggestion. You should work for Apple.

Jun 1, 2014 2:32 AM in response to dMariboby Thortheone,Mine's not working as for yesterday - screen comes on, but nothing works - not banged, dropped or done anything - this is a lot of complaints - has apple replied to this serious issue, at all?

Jun 2, 2014 9:16 PM in response to smevansby mjmarino,Figured I should put myself on this chain as well. Problem started two days ago. That morning the rear camera was working without any issue, and a few minutes later it was no longer operating. I hadn't updated the OS or anything at the time, so no idea why it started at that particular moment. Since then, all rear camera applications have continuously shown a black screen, a complete wipe of the phone failed to fix the issue, and diagnostics ran by an apple employee show the phone is operating fine. Sadly they cannot replace the phone since it is out of warranty, so I guess I will be taking a bunch of "selfie" photos until this problem is solved!
I have an iPhone 5 model NE489LL/A running iOS 7.1.1

Jun 4, 2014 8:48 AM in response to smevansby TFord555,FIX FOR REAR CAMERA AND FLASHLIGHT!!!
I also had the same flash and rear camera problems as everyone else but I figured it was a software problem.
To fix the flash/flashlight, simply download the flashlight app. The one everyone used before iOS 7. The flash should work immediately.
To fix the rear camera go to Settings > General > Restrictions. Enable restrictions and turn the Camera off, then take the restriction off. Check your camera, it should work immediately.
Hope this answers a lot of questions and saves a bunch of money due to Apple's failures.
Cheers,
Tim

Jun 4, 2014 12:45 PM in response to smevansby eranbe,Same issue here. Front camera works, back camera doesn't as of today!!!
It worked yesterday!
Launching the Camera App results in a black screen. Switching to front works,
switching back to rear ends up with the app hanging or crashing.
Pressure, hard reset, uninstall workarounds didn't work.
I paid quite an amount of money for my iPhone 5 and I'd expect it to work.
Actually, been also having issues (which seem to be experienced by many others) with my Mac Mini.
These are very expensive devices and if they have such HW issues, I'd expect Apple to seize selling them and to replace the ones sold, regardless of any king of warrenty.
That's called "a recall" in the car industry.

Jun 4, 2014 11:23 PM in response to smevansby space dogs, thanks TFord555 for the suggestion, however on my iphone this solution only appears to work for a couple of photos and then reverts back to being frozen/ blurred - then i have to go thru the process of disabling/ enabling/ passcode again

Jun 5, 2014 12:13 AM in response to smevansby vadikgo,I'm found solution here:
http://www.cydiaios7.com/back-camera-not-working-after-ios-7-update-solution.htm l
Solution 4 help me:
1. Try a different camera app instead of the stock one – download Camera Awesome, free of charge, from the App store
2. Install and both cameras should work properly.
Some times camera not work again. Need to restart Camera Awesome, switch front/rear camera and camera work again.
This appears to be a definite software issue, not hardware, despite the fact that not all devices are fully supported with all the new features in iOS 7.
