"connect to itunes to use push notifications"

hello,

I updated my Iphone to ios 7 today.

Since then when I open apps like whatsapp and facebook, I see "connect to itunes to use push notifications".

When can I do to fix it?

iPhone 4S, iOS 7

I discovered a solution that worked for me. I went into "Settings>Notification Center" and selected an app that was having a problem with push notifications. All I did was change the "ALERT STYLE" from "Banners" to "Alerts". I tried it on "Find My Friends", "Facebook", and "The Weather Channel", and I no longer get the message "Connect to iTunes to use push notifications". When I change the setting back to "Banners", the problem doesn't reappear.

Good luck...

Reset network worked for me, too.

BUT, it only worked after I connected to a WiFi network.

Right after reset, but before I connected to any WiFi network, (only on cellular), I still had the problem. Then I connected to a WiFi network, and after that, the problem was resolved.

My spouse also had the problem - but when he went into the Apple store to see them about it, his phone connected to that network (a new network for his phone) - and it was fixed!

There's something about connecting to a previously unknown (or perhaps forgotten) network that seemed to cure this problem.

Interesting test for the next person coming here: Don't reset your network, just forget the WiFi network you are connected to, then re-connect. Wonder if that is enough...

Very annoying indeed! I did not want to try the restore or reset network settings suggested in this tread, nor did changing the alert style fix the issue... I found a different approach that worked for me though: Go into settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Fetch new data -> disable and then re-enable push here. I hope this workes for others as well!

Wow is this annoying. I downloaded the latest update and now I get this message non-stop with most apps. With some of my apps like, Words with Friends, it freezes my iphone so that I can't exit the app or use the app and have to power off and back on. Apple should have had a fix on this within 24 hours. I've already wasted almost 2 hours of my time dealing with this, and now it looks like I'm going to have to do a restore. Unacceptable!
