(IOS 7) Any way to show calendar list view in notification center instead of day view?

I updated to IOS 7 and I hoped to be able to check my schedule for the next day from the lock screen. Unfortunately at 1 AM the next few hours in the Calendar Day View in Notification Center was empty. The Today Summary just tells me when the first appointment is the next morning but not much else. Is there any way to change the calendar day view to the list view of appointments? Representing the relative times of the appointments with empty space seems like a waste. Especially when the Calendar Day View is 100% empty space and my appointments are just out of view in the wee hours of the morning.

Thanks,

Jerrill

In iOS 7 I only see my appointments for the next 5 hours. It is suppossed to be "today" view not "next 5 hours" view. If my appointments are spread out over the day I mostly see blank space even though there are appointments lurking just beyond those next five hours. It just seems like a waste of space and it totally defeats the purpose of getting all the info you need for "Today" at a glance.

My biggest regret in updating to IOS 7 is the calendar. I often to tap from date to date and wish to see in LIST view my events... not in a today view as mentioned by the various posts above. As someone else noted, events are hiding below the screen view and one must scroll around to see if there are other events scheduled. I'm so afraid I'm going to miss something and make a committment in error. A list view is much more desired and efficient.

Change for the sake of change...why Apple why?

I have sent mass texts and Face Book messages to friends telling them not to upgrade to IOS 7 because of the calendar disaster and variouse other changes. Such as why is the font everywhere so small and light? One needs a magnifying glass to see everything that could be seen so clearly before. I've given friends a "tour" of IOS 7 on my iPhone and after seeing it many have thanked me and opted not to upgrade. I only wish I could have been saved.

It seems like people are mentioning two issues:

1. Notification center display should display a list view of calendar appointments insteady of the next 5 hours.

2. The calendar app should have a list view of appointments. Currently I guess the work around is to click on the search icon, which gives you a list view like iOS6, which also includes the search box at the top. From a UI perspective, this isn't the greatest solution, but at least we are able to get a list view of calender items.

I never found a work around for notifications, other than turning it off. I'm using a different calendar app by Readdle and just use the iOS core app for the date.

The notifications in iOS7 are very poorly thought out. The calendar app and it's notifications are a pain at best. Worst is that Apple has nothing to fix this since September when everyone hates it.

The whole idea of iPhone is that I don't have to search for some other app to get something to work. Original iPhone OS was smart and easy to use, today's iOS is not so smart and harder to use Apple could make a list of the core apps and list the deficiencies and get them fixed in a few months. Writing feedback to them seems useless these days. They probably never read them.

Yes, this is really missing! I sometimes just have an appointment at the start or end of the day and I wouldn't see anything in the next 5 hours view. Some days I don't have any appointments and the calender view takes up all the space unnecessarily ... when I just want to see what's on my reminders list I have to scroll down. In Mac OS X Mavericks this is way nicer implemented!
