Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I receive emails on my Mail app 20 minutes later then I do on my cell phone. Is that normal? It is really annoying as I work from a computer. Does anyone know how to fix this?
MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)
Mail ▹ Preferences ▹ General ▹ Check for new messages: Every minute or Every 5 minutes
It is already set to every minute 😟 and it still does that. It's a huge delay of 10 minutes or even 20 minutes sometimes. Would it have anything to do with the fact that it is a hotmail account? My icloud emails come through right away.

Hotmail is accessed differently (via "ActiveSync") on a mobile device than on a computer, and that's probably the reason for the difference.
Is there any way to fix that? It's driving me nuts.
Not that I know of. If a delay of a few minutes is important, you can always check your mail on the Hotmail website.
