I did this. Nothing changed. So I picked an old podcast, downloaded it to iTunes, deleted its file. So then the podcast showed the ! error - it couldn't find the file. I was then able for the first time to see "delete" in the context menu. Deleted it. And immediately the **** podcast came right back with its icloud please download me icon showing. One day last week was pirate day but I'm still saying ARRRRGGGGHHH in a bad way.

Folks: the Support Communities are here to crowdsource solutions, but in this case it's clear that there is nothing individual users can do: there are several other threads on this, and the best that anyone has come up with is to delete iTunes 11.1 and replace it with a TimeMachine copy of an older release. Apple has to fix this bug. Please help push Apple along on this via the "Provide iTunes Feedback" option in your copy of iTunes (dropdown from the iTunes menu, found just under the "Preferences" option).

I'm on version 11.4....

While unwanted podcasts can not be removed from the listing, if you choose the "feed" view (bottom right of the screen), then all the deleted and non-deleted entries are there.

If you choose the "saved" episodes, then only the ones saved

Regardless, the delete function should do just that - delete the contentment and the library entry.

Does anyone have access to Apple to find out why this is happeneing?
