To access the panorama mode there shoudl be a little scrolling line of words between the record button and the screen. The panorama is far right. (at least that's how it is on my iPod, haven't been able to get the iPad updated yet)

If you can't scroll to the words you might try giving your device a reset. Hold down the sleep and home keys until you see the silver apple. Let it reboot and look for it. Others have reported features appearing after a restart.

    No panorama shooting with iPads.

    Read here from Apple:

"Panorama format is available on iPhone 4s or later and iPod touch (5th generation).

Square and video formats and swipe to capture are available on iPhone 4 or later, iPad (3rd generation or later), iPad mini, and iPod touch (5th generation)."
