Sep 24, 2013 4:37 PM in response to Fede23by sprtsfanjp,Genius bar at apple store told me as well "this is a hardware issue not a software issue and because you dont have apple care and are out of warranty it will cost you 199.99 to replace" bull ****. Now I spoke to my service provider and am now looking at an upgrade to avoid having to risk the battery overheating from using the 3g all the time. Ipods and Ipads (most) are still ok but no more iphones. One way are another getting an andriod.

Sep 24, 2013 5:52 PM in response to Fede23by va bene,Genius bar visit today resulted in new iPhone RE antenna failure. Apparently a not uncommon thing to have happen. My problem was with the wifi button being greyed out.

Sep 24, 2013 6:19 PM in response to Fede23by Pererau,Throwing my name in the ring. I have an iPhone 4S (seems to be a common thread) Sprint 32gb. It is only a few months old because I dropped and cracked the screen on my other one. I upgraded to iOS 7 on the 19th, and lost my wifi while in the middle of using the iTunes Radio feature while doing schoolwork this morning. I've tried every fix listed here except restoring my phone and resetting the router. The wifi is intermittently either greyed out or not, but even when it I Ian get into the wifi settings it won't find any of the ten or so wifi networks visible from my wife's iPhone or my iPad. After one of the dozens of times I tried a fix and reset my phone today, it started working (seeing only one of the three signals from my router and none from the neighbors), only to fail again an hour later.
I don't have the time right now to try to restore my phone, and it doesn't sound like it has worked for most people anyway, and if the problem was related to my router, why do my iPad (iPad 3 verizon 64gb ios7), my wife's iPad (iPad 3 wifi iOS 6), and her iPhone (4S Sprint 16gb iOS 6) work just fine? I'm not willing to reset it for fear of losing the wifi connection on my iPad, which would cripple me with my online Master's program. Losing wifi on my phone: problem. Losing wifi on my iPad: catastrophe.

Sep 24, 2013 8:19 PM in response to Fede23by Kavebat,I'm having these same issues with my iPad 2. I have tried everything including resetting to factory settings. Nothing is working. Worked just fine before iOS 7. I can get online for a few minutes if I "renew lease" I've been connected to my home wifi for over a year and never had an issue before now.

You'll be escorted out faster than a jackrabbot chews on a sugar cube.
If you are OUT OF WARRANTY, then you will be paying between $149 to $269.
$149 for iPhone Original, 3G, 3GS, 4
$199 for iPhone 4S
$269 for iPhone 5, 5C, 5S.

Sep 25, 2013 12:57 AM in response to Fede23by Ultimatesound,Hi there,
my iPhone5 iOS7 lost WiFi connection just in the middle of web use, came up with message "could not connect"... try again. The iPhone5 even lost the WiFi PWD (?). Tried to connect the network by typing the SSID and PWD fresh in, and this network (a devolo DLAN 200, it a powerline thing) is still not connectable with the iPhone5. Another WiFi directly distributed by the fritzbox is still working fine with the iPhone5(?).
Other gear is not affected (yet): iPhone4 with iOS7 also perfect till now with both wifi networks. iPad2 with iOS7 no prob at all.
Details: Also the reset of the network settings on the iPhone5 did not help.
So please think about this major cleaning before you delete every network settings you have ever used and will need to keep in your machine for the next time! And yes, I tried everything mentioned before: router reset, iPhone5 restart, reset of network setting on iPhone5, even a complete unplugging and start of every network component in my homenet. >>Hoping for a quick fix, please. -
Sep 25, 2013 5:13 AM in response to Fede23by mcourd,I tried resetting my router last night (i knew it wouldn't work, if it was my home network. i should still be able to switch it on when not at my house, right?). the issue isn't your network if the wifi switch is disabled. I'll be heading back to the "genius" bar tomorrow night, and I will have the "genius" who assists me, explain how 2 phones in a matter of days, managed to fail (my original, and a warranty replacement). At the very least, this is still a quality control issue, with hardware, if not software . Either way it indicates that apple isn't the well oiled machine it once was. The advantage that Apple always had over competitors was that it worked, and worked well. Not as many features as other devices, but the quality was top notch. That apparently isn't the case any longer. i was thinking a larger screen would be nice anyway. Thanks for making my mind up for me Apple

Sep 25, 2013 5:57 AM in response to Pererauby Ally86,Hi,
I reset my router and my phone is working fine been almost a day now. I have my HP laptop and iPad first generation hooked up to wifi as well. I did the reset and everything is still working fine. My laptop was all messed up during the download of IOS 7 but has been working fine since I reset my router. It's worth a shot...good luck!

Sep 25, 2013 6:11 AM in response to Fede23by jermainesky,I have an iPhone 5 and just after the upgrade my wifi stopped working. This is the most annoying thing as i rely on wifi a lot. A software reset was done and this has not helped at all.
It seems my iphone cannot connect to a wifi network at all. The guy at the repair centre says that it may be a faulty antanae but that does not make sense to me because it worked before the iOS7 update??? Grrrr

Sep 25, 2013 7:35 AM in response to Fede23by laiarevers,This is just a nightmare! I downloaded the ios7 on my iphone 5 last week and had no priblems with the wifi since 2 days ago, so how on earth can this be a problem with the antenna when it worked during nearly a week. I'm abroad and I need the wifi connections just like I need water to survive. Also, I am able to connect my ipod touch 3rd gen without a problem and hve all the wifi networks available, while my IPHONE 5 just does NOT find any?!?! And I want to remark that my phone worked with the ios7 during 5 days without any problems. Appatently I can obly connect my wifi now when Im @Starbucks, which is extremely weird, but I cannot connect to the eduroam network or any other wifi network, but my 3 year old itouch does. What on Earth is going on and when is Apple going to fix this bug. How can this just happen?!
