You're right - there should be a product recall or at least a commit to replace the product in the event that the wifi fails ...

That's what companies that are proud of their quality would do at least - Apple just stays silent on the issue

I am also facing same issue. Not able to connect Wifi in my 4s phone by any mean. After upgrading to iOS7 wifi button got greyed out in settings and unable to turn it on.  This is really frustating, Tried all suggested options but no luck yet.

I am having the same issue after having the phone looked at by a few companys they all said this is becoming a major problem and it cannot be perminantly fixed by all the ways above all of us here are sat crossing fingers toes arms and legs to hope that apple shift off there *** and do a new update and make this work as by the look of things android will be gaining more customers.

Try to do a reset by holding the lock and home button for 20 seconds.

Same 'wifi grayed out' problem here ... have done everything listed and spent 3 hours on the land based phone with Apple ... They are standing behind the idea that the wifi issue is not related to the iOS7 update and that 'the wifi hardware was going to fail in a day or two anyway' ... nice ... I guess that sums it up.  Apple stated that iPhones that are outside of the 12 month warranty and are not covered on an AppleCare contract will have to be repaired or replaced at the owners expense.

I have an iPhone 4S and wifi worked 100% TILL i updated to the dreaded iOS 7! What a pot of crap! Apple if you do not fix this nonsense soon or Samsung and Android will be laughing all the way to the bank. There is no way that it is a hardware issue if all the people are experiencing this at the same time, right when they update to iOS 7. It is safe to say there is no way I’ll update my iPad to the laughing stock of mobile operating systems that is called iOS 7.

Annoyed South African ex Apple supporter! (and probably a droid soon)

So I just wanted to add my experience: I have a iPhone 5, was working fine until iOS 7 now the constant network drop-off I can search the network but can never connect to them it just connect randomly and even when I try to connect to it it usually say something like "wrong password" or "unable to join" while in fact my other device are connecting fin  every time I lock my phone, Even with the IOS 7.0.2 update Apple has still not fixed the Wifi issue, nor the background wallpaper issue in which you can properly move or scale, this is truly pathetic, I have been a loyal apple customer but this just pushing me to go for an android may I have better luck.

Installed iOS 7.02 as a clean install and now can't connect to any WiFi network with a hidden SSID.  Open WiFi networks with broadcasting SSID seem to be OK.  Did reset of network settings as suggested but did not fix issue.

I did an updated from 6 to 7.02 on my iPad and that works fine.  Can connect to any WiFi network.

My iphone 4s have wifi problem when I upgrade to ios 7. I can on/off wifi, but it doesn't search any wifi.

I restart router, reset network, reset all iphone, change iphone name, turn on/off air mode... But I don't resolve this problem.
