Oct 1, 2013 5:18 PM in response to Fede23by Lecter_Hannibal,Funny enough, I went to the apple store last night, there was also a gal next to me with the exact same problem and the "genius" in the bar told me that I was having a hardware problem with the wifi... Even when his diagnostic software said NORMAL in the screen in front of him. So he told me I needed to replace my phone to a $199 cost. I don't think so... Guess what Apple? You just lost an apple fan and customer! Way to go! I'm definitely not buying another apple product ever. Do you guys at Apple think we're pumpkins?? You screwed up big time with this joke of iOS and you still expect us to pay you to fix? When a lot of people complaint about the same is for a reason apple, listen to your customers... Samsung I think I'll take a look at you phones now.

Oct 2, 2013 3:03 AM in response to Fede23by olsena3,I am having the same issue. My wifi worked for about a week after I did the update and now nothing. Mine is grayed out like most of the others and I did the whole airplane mode and reset and nothing. The other thing I noticed is my phone will be at 50 percent battery life and then all of suddent it would just turn off and be dead with no warning. I am really disappointed and not sure what to do regarding this! I did the new 7.0.2 update or whatever to "fix bugs" but it didnt fix any of the problems that I am seeing people are having.

Oct 2, 2013 4:32 AM in response to ilikeackerby hateeecs,"The new operating system seems to have an issue with apostrophes. At least when it comes to wi-fi."
My phone did have an apostrope in the name as I believe this is the DEFAULT for naming the phone (ie you enter your name and then it suggests '<your name>'s phone' for the phone name.
Regardless I renamed the phone and did a power down, hard reboot (hold both buttons), and reset network setting - no success. Time for apple to fix their buggy code.

Oct 2, 2013 8:05 AM in response to Lecter_Hannibalby oldmisstreacle,Yes, I too have loved Apple - I have 3 iphones here in the hosue for 3 members of the family. I was due a contract upgrade last week so got a Samsung GS4! But, I would still like to sort out the wi-fi on the IPhone because it is a very expensive item if its only use is as a camera and calculator!
I declare, that of the last 3 ios upgrades with 3 phones, I have had 7 serious problems - Never more Apple for me, unless they take responsibility and sort it out. It cannot be the hardware when so many people have the same problem and were fine on ios6. If that seriously is the case, then fix it so that we can go back and use these very expensive pieces of kit. My business is siffering badly from this.

Oct 2, 2013 4:01 PM in response to Fede23by nesseldude,My problem seems a little different from the other problems. I can only connect to my home WIFI if I'm within a few feet of the router. Then, though it appears to be connected, it does not act like it. Everything takes a long time to load, some a very long time, like Pandora and Youtube, as if I were connected via a cellular network. If I move too far away it is no longer connected at all. Resetting and turning on/off has not helped.

Oct 2, 2013 6:00 PM in response to ilikeackerby acamilo87,Just tried your suggestion, and so far 24hrs later and its actually working fine, no issues at all. I recomend ppl try this if they havent already.
i noticed during the beta versions pf ios7, siri would always say things like "calling your brother's iphone." Since the official versions, i notice siri responds "calling your brother - iphone." You may be on to something with the apostrophe thing, though it seems kinds strange it could throw so much off.

That's different than the wi-fi being greyed out. Totally separate issues.
