there's got to be someone, some technical guy, that knows what's going on; there's too many 4s users with the same issue for it to be coincidence?

Just got an email from my service provider stating that this is a known problem by Apple and they are working on a fix. Not sure whether this a software one or a hardware one. I'm in the UK and my iPhone 4S is 18 months old. Let's hope they sort this quickly.

Well, considering that there are over 900,000 Apps in the App store - trying to figure out all of the possible combinations that might be out there is simply not a viable request. I don't disagree with you that some of the issues with this release seem to be a result of being driven by a specific release date.

Had that release date been moved out to the Spring, many of these problems might not have been there.

But with over 900,000 apps, I would think that there are a lot more of the "most used" apps than you might imagine....it is simply not realistic to expect a developer to test with every possible combination of every popular app in a library of over 900K apps. You may whittle down the number of apps you need to test with, but the number of combinations of those apps would far exceed the 900K we are taking about.

Testing each app on the list all by itself isn't going to tell you anything. And, many of those apps have not yet been updated to work correctly with iOS 7 even now.....

Not seeing an easy way to do this in any sort of reasonable timeframe. By the time they got done testing, the next version would be due out.

I put my phone in airplane mode and joined wifi no problem,  I kept it in that mode for an hour then took airplane mode off,  I've been holding wifi for about 30 minutes now.

I also have the same problem not only did I had to restore my iPhone (and that, aided of being time consuming, it did. It worked) but also my iPad3's speakers are not working! All started since I downloaded to the ios7.2

I seriously thinking of just selling all my devices and switching to SAMSUNG

    Good bye apple

I didn't have that many apps on my phone mainly used for business; anyway, it's  not the apps, the ones I had, had been on my phone for over a year!

I'm coming to the conclusion that it's a hardware issue brought on by the update to iOS 7.0.2

Question is will Apple do anything about it for those out of warranty?

And for those thinking tough you're out of warranty just think next time you see your PC, laptop, tablet, or any other device that's out of warranty being automatically updated that the update could cause an unknown hardware issue to activate and your device is no longer useable; how would that feel . . . or do you just nip to the store and buy a new one??????

    Here you go...

"Thank you for writing back to us.

We follow an internal escalation procedure. I am one of the team managers at Vodafone Customer Services. I have come across your query through an escalation.

I apologise for any inconvenience caused to you. We acknowledge your complaint that you are facing issues with the Wi-Fi services after the update to iOS7. To share with you, this is the known fault on which the manufacturer i.e. Apple are working on it to fix the issue. I am afraid we from customer services team not able to comment on this. For that you need to get in touch with Apple store to check for any further update."

The rest of the letter is just regarding repair etc...In effect just passing the buck and stating I'll have to pay for it if I go through Vodafone. When I contact Apple they state I have to seek re-dress from the seller (i.e. Vodafone) and point me to this link http://www.apple.com/uk/legal/statutory-warranty/

Amazing how 2 big blue chip organisations can pass the responsibility between each other and yet the consumer is stuck in the middle with a faulty iphone.

    Shocking from both companies.
