Q: This 90 Day restriction makes no sense to me
Our family shares 1 laptop computer at home. We have 3 Apple IDs for 3 people that share that one computer.
How can we have computer backup files of all 3 ID purchases if we can only log in and download the backup copies every 90 days from each ID? Why Is there a restriction like this? I can see retricting downloading purchses from a single Apple ID to muliple computers to restrict illegal file sharing, but not allowing a single computer to store backup copies of more than one Apple ID is pointless.
What apple is saying then is you have to be rich enough to afford a separate computer for each Apple ID in addition to the separate Apple iPhones/iPods already owned for each Apple ID? That is just piracy in reverse. So Apple is saying that they are not responsible if customers lose their content on their mobile device because the user is responsible for maintaining their own backup copy, but unless the user can afford to also own their own computer without sharing it with their family members, they can only back up the purchased content once every 90 days.
