Display Problem on iPhone 5 after iOS 7 upgrade

Hey.

I have noticed exactly the same problem with my display after upgrading my iphone 5 to iOS 7. This is very annoying. I hope someone knows what this problem is and helps us.

The same problem on my iPhone 5 - ios 7.

Noticed it today. Don't know since

when the red Center with white bezel is there.

Anyone any ideas/comments?

We are talking about this "light" green frame, right? I noticed it after the update to iOS 7.0.6 yesterday. It is always clearly visible when I'm on all white pages.. :-/

I have been to the local Apple Store.

They did a test on the iPhone and said that it is devinitivly a defect of the display.

They offered a replacement for 149 €. It is not bad enough to spend that much money...

So no prob caused by any iOS Version. A hardware defect...

Well, but I still wonder why most of the people having this problem recognized it after having upgraded to iOS 7. I'm pretty sure that the display bug hasn't been there before the update to 7.0.6 :-/

Yes, I totally agree with you. The problem appeared the moment I upgraded to iOS 7. So there was no problem with the display.. Something is wrong with the firmware..

Anyway, since mine was still in warranty I got a "new" one..

When so many people report the same problem, it's at least impolite for apple to not even mention it as their fault..

I gave my iphone 5 to my girlfriend and got a note 3 in return 😀

Since my iPhone is out of warranty already, I'll wait for iOS 7.1 and see if the problem disappeares again. In my honest opinion it is not worth changing the display for it..

Hi to everyone, unfortunately the problem is not related to the firmware as many people have been noticed already before ios 7. The issue is more evident with ios 7 for white backgrounds. I too have noticed the problem with ios 7 but even before I realized that something was wrong with white backgrounds on safari.

Mine is still under warranty but I did not even change the display because I am afraid that the problem will reoccur, being a very common issue due to the use / time.

"Experts" say that it's a problem of glue that has not dried properly.

Honestly, I think it is outrageous that apple has fallen so low in quality.

So you want to say that there are many more people having this issue and maybe haven't recognized it yet?

I checked different iphone 5 between the office and the gym. 6 on 7 have this problem. A part of me, others haven't noticed the defect and I noticed it in September because I read about the pink issue/green border on a forum...

Under warranty you can replace the display hoping that the defect will not reappear.

It is unthinkable, for me, that there are such problems with these devices that cost as much, if I decide to spend so much is because I want the best available on the market, but this is not true,unfortunately.
