With iOS7 the fonts have changed to very thin lines and the backgrounds are lighter in general. White or light colored text is difficult to see. Cases in point are the Lock Screen and Notes but this is also evident in other areas. I have changed to Bold Text in Accessibility in Settings but it is still not a perfect solution.

you can increase the contrast in ios 7 by going to settings -> general -> accessibility -> increase contrast.
Increase Contrast helps somewhat but the light lettering and diagrams with thin lines against a white background is still an issue. Are there options to change the background and lettering colors in something like Notes?
I used to laugh at android users trying to use their phones in bright sunlight. No more. iOS7 has made the iPhone almost useless in bright sun. The tiny print against a light background is unreadable. It's also so small that I find myself straining to read it even indoors. I have an iPod Touch g4 that has iOS6. I can use it easily in dirrect sunlight and have no problems reading it. iOS7 has added lots of features and I think manyh of them are improvements. I wonder though if all the Apple nerds ever left their cubicles and went outside to try and use the new software in sunlight. I also wonder if any of them are out of thier 20s. Most of the world has vision issues. Making the phone much harder to read and use wasn't a step in the right dirrection. They have also messed up the pop-up letters on the keyboard. Now they pop up under you finger so you can't see the letter. Not a bright idea...
While I'm complaining, how about giving us the option of alternate keyboards? How hard would that be? I get mad at Apple every time I compose a message and am forced to switch between three different keyboards every time. Nonesense.
I built an browser app and now I'm scrambling to make a bunch of changes just becuase of the translucent background of the html drop down list. In well lit rooms you can just see them but anything beyond that makes it impossible. Increased contrast helps but only a little. Get out of your cublicles Apple. I would also say that there was some improvments in the design. The ability to save passwords for signins to websites is a huge hit.
