1. Need ifunbox or other soft to download/upload to phone

2. Download /private/var/mobile/Media/iTunes_Control/iTunes/MediaLibrary.sqlitedb

3. Prepare images and put them to /private/var/mobile/Media/iTunes_Control/iTunes/Artwork/Original/00 folder

(use your own naming, for example "deeppurple.jpg")

4. Use Sqlite3 db editor edit 2 tables

4.1 artwork

add line for each artist with parameters id,4,name jpg,4. Where jpg name like u decide in 3

For example deeppurple,4,00/deeppurple.jpg,4

4.2 album_artist

find line with artist name in album_artist column

change value in album_artist_token to id value, for example deeppurple

5. put edited MediaLibrary.sqlitedb back

6. delete MediaLibrary.db-shm and MediaLibrary.db-wal files

7. restart Music.app and enjoy.

ps if u can change image - PLS find and delete files from /private/var/mobile/Media/iTunes_Control/iTunes/Artwork/Caches folder

Cache create automatically

Killcamception, were you ever able to get this to work? I had always been able to see any album art I wanted on the artist tab by turning "Group By Album Artist" to the OFF position in Settings>Music.

After the release of iOS 8.2 last week, and without thinking anything of it, I happened to log out of iTunes. After logging back into iTunes with my normal Apple ID, all of my album art was replaced by the stock Apple artist photos in the artist tab. In addition, the "Group By Album Artist" option is no longer a fix.

If you did get this to work can you please post the exact steps? It would be a huge help to not only me but I am sure many, many others. Thanks!

I FOUND A WAY!!!!🙂 Go on your iPhone into settings, music and turn off group by album art work. Log out of Your Apple ID log back back in go to the music app and they should start to load one by one. Not all artists have one or some may actually use album covers as theirs like Stereophonics use decade in the sun as theirs. 🙂

Hey

this is exactly the solution what i was looking for, but i am a bit confused with the SQLite Programm.

Would you mind to send me a step by step instruction in much more details, so that i can manage this?

I never worked with SQLite before.

I normally was looking for changing the Genre-Artworks on iOS , i think it should be mostly the same way, or?

Thanks for your reply

Chris
