No "Blur"-Effect on the iPad 3

Yesterday I installed iOS 7, just when it came out. I was really fascinated about it. Everything looked wonderful and totally new, but after a while I thought that something is missing - the blur, that looked so wonderful. First I thought it was a wrong setting, so I checked out the settings, but even after turning on and off the contrast, it only was transparent, but not blurred. Even a reset didn't change anything, so I started searching for the problem.

I found out, that the blur-effect has been removed on beta 5, even if it worked good in beta 4. But why? I'm sure the iPad 3 is capable enough and even if it would have decreased performance, there would have been the option to turn it off in the settings (like on the other devices).

My device is only 14 months old, that's by far not the age to say it is outdated or not capable of something softwareside.

As it seems, I'm not the only one that noticed this, so I wanted to ask, who also noticed that.

And a question to the iPad 2-Users: Do you have the blur-effect? Or do you also have transparency?

I sent a feedback to Apple. I hope they will hear us. We gotta fight! 😉

Hello,

I have an iPad 2 and my brother has an iPad Mini. I know they are identical. They've got the same A5 CPU, the same amount of memory.

The point is he has the blur effect everywhere and I don't.

I'm sure it's a bug because my iPad supports it. It can render the blur effect and it actually does in the multitask menu (the springboard thumbnail is live blured).

Thank you.

yes . my ipad also lose this fascinated design.

instead Blur Translucent that Apple promised, they gave us Transparent non-Blur in control center and notification center same as my iPhone4.

but weird, they enabled paralax in ipad 3, in iPhone 4 they dont give.

we want experience as Apple promised ! the way it looked and the way it feel.

surely there are many No for every Yes.

can this Yes become so amazing and stunning?

This is very disappointing! I've sent my feedback to Apple. Hope they can fix it in the 7.0.1 version.

Hi.

I've bought the 3th generation iPad last years, just a few months before Apple release the 4th generation.

I'd like to know why that beautiful translucent blur enhancement of the iOS7 is not available on my iPad. Is it a bug or something?

This feature is available on the iPad Mini and as I know, the 3th generation has a much better hardware. What is the purpose of that?

Thanks,
