I upgraded to iOS 7 and noticed that spotlight search does not display anything from 'Messages' even though I have that checked as one of the search criterias. Not only that, within the Message app the search does not display any results either... anyone else having this problem?

I think I see what's happening... Looks like the search will not show any results until I've gotten a text message from the person. Search doesn't seem to recognize anyone until they texted me back while I'm on iOS 7.
I have the same problem too. It seems messages stored before iOS 7 won't return any result. I can only search for messages that were used/created in iOS 7.
Anyone has solved this problem?
I'm having the same problem where there are no search results in the messages app. For me, NOTHING matches on search even if I search for a contact name that just sent me a message, or for a word that was included in the message.
Is messages search WORKING for anyone?
On my iPad mini, search appears to work for messages that were sent after the iOS 7 update. All previous text, while visible, does not come up in search results.
(I'm running iOS 7.0.2. I hope this gets fixed in an update.)
Whoops, spoke too soon. Now I'm getting search results from earlier messages. A search that failed a few searches ago, now works!
