Dec 4, 2013 8:15 AM in response to Daustoby Taildragon,This worked for me. I had performed thist reset/calibrate before, and it sorta worked, but even if you have tried this before, you need to do it again after updating to 7.04.

Dec 5, 2013 7:19 AM in response to Taildragonby scrimbo,Having first had this issue on 1st November and following the tips on this thread, resorted to contacting Apple chat to see if there was any help available as battery life had now got to 3 hours on standby with no use.
Advisor suggested back up and restore, back up worked fine and then the restore froze and could not find the iphone. Advisor attempted a couple of other solutions that didn't work, I was passed to another advisor for next level technical support who advised me straight off that the phone was broken and that if I wanted it fixed it would cost me £166 !!!!
Now that phone worked, all be it with a rubbish battery life before Apple support got involved and now it is unusable and I have had to buy another (non-apple) phone.
There is clearly something going on with IOS7 that is rendering some IPhones unusable and Apple need to address this. If anyone from Apple does read this and is interested I have the case numbers to pass on.

Dec 5, 2013 12:18 PM in response to landminespring28by wahed3001,Same horror story here: Battery drops 1% every 3 to 4 minutes after upgrading to iOS 7.0.4. IS ANYONE FROM APPLE READING THIS? You need to address this issue immediately!

Dec 5, 2013 12:31 PM in response to wahed3001by Shao Lung,My iphone is a dust collector now,,, I let the battery drain and it sits on the shelf, becuase I can not even use it as an alarm.. the battery is dead in 4 hours... i stopped developing iphone apps because of this...I will never purchase another apple product ever. However... arduino is an interesting piece of hardware....and there is an adapter to plug it into the iphone... so I might just rip into this, and tear apart the software in iphone 4s at some time, for my next electronic project.

Dec 5, 2013 2:10 PM in response to wahed3001by brsm1990,Apple doesn't care. Besides my now useless iPhone 4S, I have a completely defective MacBook Pro Retina that they refuse to repair, replace or refund.

Dec 5, 2013 2:20 PM in response to landminespring28by Kate31,My iPhone 4s started burning through the battery just a few days ago. I've deleted apps, turned off wifi, rebooted, hard reboot, used Airplane mode. My bluetooth is never on, my screen is dimmed to less than half...
Please, if anyone can advise me on which other steps to take I would appreciate it?
Honestly I had always enjoyed using my iPhone.
Thanks ~

Dec 5, 2013 2:18 PM in response to landminespring28by Meh12,Another battery post I commented on with this -
I have the i4 before updating to 7.0.4 my battery life was perfect. Then I noticed that one day after battery being 100% 3 hrs later was sitting at 30% - to test it I depleated the battery to almost 0. Charged my phone to 100% turn off cellular data made sure all apps were closed out nothing was running to drain battery after 3 hours my battery read 40%
Two restores later battery is working fine - first restore nothing waited a couple days figure meh another restore and "so far" doing good again..

Dec 5, 2013 2:28 PM in response to Kate31by Taildragon,If you're having problems after updating to 7.04, you need to recalibrate the battery:
- Charge the phone to 100%
- Use the phone, discharging the battery all the way to shutdown (without recharging along the way)
- Recharge to 100%
You may have to do this twice (I did), especially if the phone shuts down "early", while showing more than a few percent charge left.
You will need to recalibrate even if you did it before on an earlier 7.0.x release.

Dec 5, 2013 2:41 PM in response to Kate31by cyberblade6120,I had the same symptoms and nothing did help except: Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
I did it one one time and the battery consumption returned to IOS 6 level.

Dec 5, 2013 10:42 PM in response to landminespring28by MissStress,My first iPhone and my last iPhone. The only thing worse than poor "updates" is a complete lack of accountability and zero support.
I will never, ever buy another single apple product.

Dec 6, 2013 12:50 AM in response to Taildragonby firaskurdi,*****Taildragon*****
What a minute, I have tried this (draining the battery) but what if like you said my phone tunrs off while there is still percentage how do I turn it back on?
I was in the process of doing what you said and my phone died at 40%, I tried to turn it back on to complete the process of draining the battery but it did not turn on, shall i plug it in the charger or what?
How do I turn it back on to complete the process you talked about (draining it to 100%)?
You mentioned everything but you did not mention what we should do if the phone died while there is still a percentage in it.
Shall I plug it in the charger to be able to turn in on and complete the draining? Arent we back to the same problem if I plug it in the charger as calibration process will be damaged?
Please advise...

Dec 6, 2013 5:53 AM in response to firaskurdiby Taildragon,Yes, plug it into the charger, recharge to 100%, try it again. It took me two tries to get a smooth discharge. I suspect that the first time partially recalibrates, then it gets more accurate each time thereafter.

Dec 8, 2013 11:26 PM in response to landminespring28by yukiynah,I have turned off everything when I'm not using my phone.. I have an Iphone 4s that has 7.0.3., it drains battery really fast then i upgraded it to ios 7.0.4.. it's still the same.. i hope apple do something about this.. this is really frustrating.. and i'm not even sure how much it will cost me to change the battery..
