How can I connect my MacBook Pro to my Canon Pixma MP495 printer?

Hi!

I recently started using my MacBook Pro instead of my stationary windows comp. Im still not too familiar with Apple OS and one thing I just cant seem to figure out is how to connect to my printer. Its on our wifi and it wont show up in available printers. I tried doing the setup with the CD but that only gave me control over the printers scanning ability, it still wont detect the printer. I tried googling but everyone else seemed to have the opposite problem, not being able to scan. Any help is much appreciated.

According to this - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3669#canon-inkjet - your printer/scanner is supported by the newest Apple Canon print drivers for both printing and scanning.

Download and install the drivers from -> http://support.apple.com/kb/DL899. Then go to System Preferences -> Print & Scan and use the + sign to add the printer.

It should be fairly simple...
