Q: Battery life on iPad 4

For me, my iPad 4 which running on iOS 7, use 32% battery after 2 n 20 mins browsing.

Can't answer that question coz I just reset the system! Now is about 50% brightness, around 11:27 I got 68% battery! now is 13:20, only 40% left! also just browsing, check my email, read books

It s about 2 hours used 28% battery! I guess it is crazy, iOS 6 is much more better than this

Updated to iOS 7 yesterday and noticed a faster drain on the battery

Under 6.1.3 I could watch 4 2 hour movies on Netflix on a full charge today under iOS 7 was only about to watch 2 and a half movies before it shut off.

I done a few changes on my iPad 4 and battery will not drain much during sleep now:

1) change wallpaper from dynamic to static

2) disable background update

3) done a reset by holding power button and home button together.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)

Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. This is Mark. You will drain your battery really fast after updating to IOS 7. My Ipad battery used to last a whole week charged, even using it a lot. Now it barely lasts a day. I posted a question in this forum and I am still waiting for a feasible explanation.

I agree Markram7.  Before updating, I could go a week between charges.  I also used to always have bluetooth on, push notifications on, location on, brightness over 50% and could watch several 1hr shows, do lots of web searches and still have a good charge.  Since upgrade, I have to turn off bluetooth, push, location, brightness is down to 20%, NO streaming and very little web searching and I can watch the battery drain while it is sitting in my lap doing nothing.

None of this pertains to the fact that the new iOS 7 is drawing an insane amount of power. I had 64% last night and it drained to nothing by this morning. I am charging the way I always have and used to get more than 10 hours. With the upgrade I'm lucky if I get 3 hours.  I have the brightness set to less than 50%, location services are off, I don't allow push, I use fetch manually, I have automatic app updates off, bluetooth is off, background app refresh is off, wallpaper is static. The only thing I have changed is that I turned the auto-lock and passcode lock off. I live alone and have no need for locking my iPad. There is something terribly wrong with the iOS 7 upgrade.
