location based reminders don't work in ios7 ?

I have the beta... no change.. same problem.. reminders still won't work with location based alerts unless its running in the background.. i dont think they will ever change this..

I'd still be interested in understanding what workflow causes Reminders to not be in the background.

No, I get that part, though when I was having the problem, it had nothing to do with Siri.

The part I don't understand is how Reminders goes off the recent apps list and/or is no longer running in the background. I use location-based Reminders every day, and use my iPhone 5 for many other things, and I never see Reminders not working, presumably because it's always in the background.

Or are you saying that Siri- initiated Reminders just don't work? If so, that's a different problem than Vitico reports above.

@Klahane: The problem is that if you create a reminder using Siri, and the reminder app is not running in the background, it will not remind you when you arrive or leave a specific loction. This was not the case with iOS 6, it reminded me even if the app was not running in the background.

But how is Reminders not running in the background? Does this only happen if you experimentally remove Reminders? Or is there a workflow that forces it to quit?

I have been saying this for a while now, reminders work if you reset location and privacy settings. The catch is you can't disable any of the location related settings after the reset. My location based reminders have been working for a month now. I use them everywhere and my reminders app is never open in the background. I always use Siri to make them. Feel free to ask me any questions about my settings.

Why do you force quit Reminders ever, let alone twice a day?

I did try your method and it worked for 1 day only..

Did you change anything afterward? Also, I erased all my reminders groups and left only the one default reminders list.

@Klahane. I force quit them because some apps use more battery when they are running in the background.

I also disabled reminders for all email accounts except iCloud. I allow reminders to work in the background although I never have it open in the background. Also, make sure the address locations are correct. After updating to ios 7, mine were jacked.
