how to go back to os x lion from mountain lion

os x mountain lion made my macbook pro very slow since i downloaded, how do i go back to os x lion, it is not showing in my purchases. my macbook used to be a pleasure to use before that! :-(

Did your machine come with Lion originally?


If so, you can do it - if not, you can't without a full backup. NOTE: Backup all your files first as you will need to fully erase your drive.


You can use internet recovery (Command + Option + R during restart) to access Apple's servers. Once connected, go to Disk Utility to erase your drive and it will then automatically reinstall the original OS.
