Safari won't launch on OS X 10.8.5

Macbook Pro

OS X 10.8.5

2.5 GHz Intel Core i5

4GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Safari won't properly open after the system update. It bounces on the dock for a few seconds and nothing happens. When you click a few times, it crashes. However, it works fine on safe mode.

I have tried all the options that is available on the internet (ex. safe mode, reinstall, disk utilities, deleting caches, and several other provided options).

When I try opening Safari a few times, Finder crashes with it.

PLEASE HELP!!!

All problematic. But uninstall Rapport first, then restart your Mac and try Safari first.

No wonder both Safari and the Finder are crashing.

Ok..

Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder

Type or copy paste the following:

/Library/LaunchDaemons

Move the com.genieoinnovation.macextension.client.plist and the com.trusteer.rooks.rooksd.plist files

from the LaunchDaemons folder to the Trash

Do the same for:

/Library/LaunchAgents

Move the com.genieoinnovation.macextension.plist from the LaunchAgents folder to the Trash

Restart your Mac. See if that made a difference.
