Sep 28, 2013 4:21 PM in response to Bleonard1028by Chsidisher_Bocher,Having the same problem.
4s io7.
Tried the all tricks and methods. Nothing works.
Also the tricks here and there. Still stuck.
After restore it worked for a few minutes and stoped. What shows that is not a hardware problem. Anyway I've never had any issues untill this morning (5 days after upgrading).
My warranty expired.
If I could downgrade I would. But yeah, thanks to the smart-as*es in apple I can't.
My next step will be smashing my f**king iphone.

Sep 28, 2013 8:21 PM in response to Bleonard1028by Col.TED,Goodluck to all of us if apple would bulge and listen this time...we've been belingered by the same problem since IOS 6 and Apple said it was a hardware issue on most phones and not related to updating to IOS 6.......didnt buy it and put my 4s in the drawers for months since then, just gathering dust.....then lately had it updated to IOS 7 thru itunes and got wifi back on for a while until it dropped out and happened As frequent as most users on this thread....same bandaid fixes work but still will drop out after some time...i was even able to update it to the latest ios 7.0.2 OTA using home wifi and did facebook a lot....wifi still drops and had same hanging issues esp. On settings menu......Apple, who's lying now?......fix our phones and get your act together......be responsible on your wreckless & damaging upgrades.....otherwise, you'll be a sinking ship......:-)

Sep 29, 2013 10:28 AM in response to Bleonard1028by jermainesky,I have tried every single fix i could find on the internet without any luck. I am frustrated out of my mind now. How can Apple do this to their clients, some of us have been loyal since the first iPod. I do understand that every electronics manufacturer must experience trouble with their products from time to time, but to just to ignore that this problem exists is beyond me.

Sep 29, 2013 4:06 PM in response to Bleonard1028by keenevision,Ok- I've been battling this with an iPhone 4s 16gb for the last 6 days.
Sometimes doing a hard reset would get it going.
Just now, after multiple resets wouldn't give me a working wifi switch, I followed a very random fix suggested by someone- stuck my iPhone in the freezer for 10 mins. It worked... what the ****! I know this is a very temporary fix, the phone will warm up again and I'll watch wifi fail again.
Sometimes toggling the Airplane mode on and off quickly would somehow free the wifi switch from being greyed out.
I'm at a loss.

Sep 29, 2013 6:41 PM in response to samwillhelpby bourst,The problem is ofthen not connecting to Wifi, the problem is staying connected. The phone will find and connect but only stay connected anywhere from a few minutes to no more than an hour.

Sep 30, 2013 1:50 AM in response to bourstby Rufntmbl,In our case we have a wifi only iPad 3 upgraded to iOS 7
When we wander away from our wifi hotspot I assume the connections manager is broken in so much as we are unable to reconnect when we come back in range.
In short wifi roaming and / or the wifi connection manager seems broken.
We regularly move between several hotspots and the only way we can connect is simply to power-cycle the iPad.
Previous to the iOS 7 upgrade roaming worked seamlessly,

Sep 30, 2013 8:19 AM in response to Bleonard1028by Zidane_fan,This is happening to too many people to be anything other than an Apple issue. My iPad 4 worked flawlessly until my upgrade to 7.0.2. Now, it often cannot find the network, though my friend's Android phone connects and is stable. If my iPad does connect, then it drops the connection after a few minutes. Sometimes it will say that I'm on, report my IP address, etc. but all my apps and Safari tell me I'm not connected to the Internet. I'm in the hospital, so I can't reset the router, and, like I said, non-Apple users are just fine. Even the sysadmin is having the same problem with his iPhone 5. I have reset the network settings time and again, had my iPad "forget this network," and restarted the device ad nauseum. I have also reset all settings, to no avail. Then came the kicker. I contacted Apple support and the agent admitted that countless people had been calling in about the same thing. I asked if engineering has a fix in the pipeline but she said that she is not privy to that. Apple's first move should be to admit the problem and try to reassure customers that it will be fixed, and fast. Then, simply fix it and try to regain an awful lot of lost goodwill because of this fiasco.

Sep 30, 2013 8:27 AM in response to Zidane_fanby ButtercupBowzer,I talked at length with an Apple representative about the same issue with my iPhone 5. Worked perfectly before the update. Then it was days before I could pick up any wifi signal whatsoever. Then, all of a sudden, I could get some wifi, but only intermittenly. Now I have to be standing right over the router in order to use wifi. The Apple representative told me to mail my phone in for service. As a last resort before mailing the phone in for repairs I visited Mac Authority and was told that people are experiencing tons of glitches with the update and that sometimes the just disappear or "work themselves out." So now I have intermittent wifi but it has bad reception. I have to be literally beside any router for my phone to pick up wifi. I am still reluctant to mail my phone in because I have heard of people receiving refurbished phones in place of their new ones. I would be really upset to receive a refurbished phone as mine is in brand new condition... and I do not feel it is a hardware issue as I've stated before. The phone worked PERFECTLY before the update and was able to pick up wifi long range. I have heard so many people complaining about this issue and many other glitches having to do with the software update. I am seriously considering selling my phone and going back to Android.
