iTunes ipad and PC

Am going to try this question again as no replies when first asked. I have a second PC now. I will use both, as well as my IPad. I have an ITunes account. I loaded all my music CDs on my iTunes on my first PC. I now want my music on second PC. How can I do this? Need a new iTunes account? Sync my IPad with new PC? Does it matter that new PC uses Windows 8 , old PC Windows 7? Also, most of the music was loaded fromCDs but some is purchased, will all transfer! hope someone can help out there.

Thanks

Windows 7

You should be able to copy the music directly between the two computers : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527 e.g. if you both are connected to the same wifi network, and you use the same iTunes account on both, then you could use home sharing to copy it. If you copy the non-iTunes purchased music to the iPad, you will then need a third-party program on your second computer to copy the music off it - there are some listed half-way down this page : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991

You should be able to copy iTunes downloads back via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases

An iPad is designed to only be synced to one computer at a time. If you want to copy music from both then see this page : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1202

Since the iPad is designed to sync with only one computer you need to have all your music on the one you want to sync with.

First install iTunes on the new computer. Assuming you used iTunes on the old computer You can copy your entire iTunes music library from the old computer to the new one. Then add any new music you want. Finally sync your iPad to the new computer.

If you have previously synced photos from your old computer copy those to the new computer before syncing or they will be deleted from your iPad.

Ok, so lets see if I get all this. iF i leave my Ipad out of the equation , I need First download ITunes onto my new PC. then, I can use home sharing to put the music from old PC to new PC. THEN, I can sync my IPad to either one or the other PC, not both at same time, but can have the ability to sync my ipad with both PCs?

I am hoping I am correct,

Will see if I can figure out home sharing. Just let me know if I am on the right track?

Many thanks to you both, I will see if I can do this.

Thanks

kathryn
