I have an iPhone 4s which I've updated to ios 7. In terms of displaying Unicode text it seems to be a big step backwards as Unicode text which used to display correctly on iOS 6.1.4 no longer does. This is somewhat frustrating. Anybody else had this problem?

Could you indicate exactly what you are talking about when you say "unicode text"? What apps? What url, if that is the problem.
Please use the camera icon here to post a screenshot of an example of what you are seeing which is not right.
I'm talking about Unicode text. Ie text created by using Unicode. If you don't know what that is then its unlikely you'll have a solution. I can't post a ss of the problem as I don't have a camera icon available to me viewing this from my iPad. The problem occurs in notes on my iPhone 4s
Actually I am a member of unicode and know quite a lot about it. But all text you see on apple devices is normally unicode, so you need to be more specific for anyone to help. What language are you trying to input? Can you give a specific example of characters which do not appear correctly and what is appearing in their place?
