Get "unable to download this podcast" error. Works if I login to the desktop version of the website. Works on an iOS6 device. Help!!!!

Already tried removing and readding podcast and reinstalling app. About to restore whole phone and go back to iOS6.

I ended up purchasing the Downcast app. Best two bucks I've spent in the App Store. It does everything the Podcast does, just way better. Also will save password credentials for secured feeds.
Yeah.. I've been trying all day to find a way to configure my web server's authentication such that the Podcast app for iOS will work. It seems to have some level of password support, as the podcast app will ask me to give the credentials. However, I've yet to have it work.
I've tried basic type authentication with nginx, basic and digest with Apache2 and I even opted to setup a legit SSL cert for the server, in case that was an unspoken issue.
Dang, I really want to secure my podcast feed AND have people be able to use it on their iOS devices, especially on their AppleTV (hence installing Apps isn't an option).
Why is everyone reporting this issue with secure networks and noone getting a reponse 56 people viewed my post and not a single one can assist.... where is Apple support on this issue. Or more important Apple Dev ?
I ended up purchasing Downcast from the App Store months ago when Apple was unable to assist and use that to this day. It is worlds better than the Apple Podcasts app ever was.
