How do I get yellow color back to notes in iOS7?

Just upgraded my iphone 4S. Still figuring out the OS7. Kinda sad that the notepad look of Notes is gone. Anyway to bring it back? Any haxies or apps yet?

Way too much white and not enough color to apps. What is the deal?

Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.2)

What makes even less sense, Notes in Mountain Lion is the user color friendly application.

Would it not make sense to have a 'seemless experience' from Mountain Lion to ipad and iphone?

Sow why is the IOS7 stripping the color out of the inside of it's apps like notes.
It was one of my favorite quick apps. Jotting down everyting from shopping lists to to-do stuff. The traditional yellowl-lined note-pad look was perfect for this.I just don't get it. At least it would be nice to offer the CHOICE to modifiy the look of notes. Couldn't be that hard to do!

Thanks!

And I replied to your reply earlier... saying that there isn't really a way to give feedback on the Notebook App, since it's across Ipad, Iphone and Mac... Apple (not you) has not made it easy to give feedback on this type of issue...

I DO get it that you're not Apple, and I DO get it that there's evidently no way to get back to the old yellow lined paper looking app.

Jacques_usa,

Are you using the most updated version of Moutain Lion? I am hesitant to update my OS because I don't want my notes app to change like the iPhone iOS7 version, I too do not like the white and want the old yellow one back. I am running OS 10.8.4 and there is an update available, are you using the update with yellow notes? I am so afraid to update and have notes and iCal change to the iOS7 versions that I don't like! So it would be good for me if you can confirm which version of OS Mountain Lion you are using when you say that the notes app is still yellow 😁 and also, is iCal the same??

Thanks for your help!

Adios.

Hi Nikki,

I'm running 10,8,5

Mountain lion did not change the look and feel of iCal or Niye or contacts.

The white wash is in ios7,which means iPads probably have the same issue though I can't confirm yet as I am not yet an iPad owner.

After running ios7 I must concede that as I hate what they did to notes & iCal, yah overall change to ios7 is an improvement. I would recommend getting a great inexpensive app called " iPhone secrets pro' by Intelligenti.

The improvements are significant thou at first one is shocked because some of the old way of doing biz has changed.

IMO Apple is remiss to not give the user a primer on new features and ways to navigate.

This little ap iPhone secrets pro will be an eye opener and give you a running start on how to maximize your iPhone usage.

There are several very good improvements that make the upgrade worth it.

Hopefully color will come back.

I hope this helps a little :)

Sorry, I use primarily Evernote and SimpleNote, both of which sync through their own cloud services (and don't have yellow lined "paper"!). I never liked Notes, in part because I hated the way it looked and because I've found the syncing problematic. However, I will keep my eye out for a app that might work and post back. Be sure to do the same if you find one.

Best of luck. 😁

Hi Jacques_usa,

Thanks for your feedback! I will update my Mountain Lion to 10.8.5!

I already did update my iOS to 7, and that is the reason for my concern. I use notes and calendar more than most apps, I have over 70 notes, and all my appointments in calendar, so the overhaul on those things has been annoying. I just didn't update my iPad, and won't since I use notes more there anyway. I do also use Evernote, and they have a nice version to sync to Mountain Lion too... but I loved notes more... I found the syncing better in Notes than to Evernote, and use them for different kinds of note taking. Evernote I use more for lists, and Notes I use more for note taking type stuff.

As for the iOS update in general, besides notes and calendar and the minor glitches I am having with Music and Phone operation (all big deals for me)... not to mention my vertigo with the motion (even with reduce motion turned on), it does have some very good improvements, you are right.

Adios!

Yep, me too. I am not going to upgrade to Mavericks when it is released because Apple will probably make that ugly and unpleasant to use too.

No surprise that the irony of that '84 ad is lost on those blinded by their own arrogance. Oohrah.

It would only be ironic if Apple were any different a company than it was in 1984. They've been pretty consistent about not giving customers options on tweaking the user interface. The 1984 ad had zip to do with allowing customers to customize the device itself. It helps to understand the historical context of computing as corporate IT controlled vs something that an individual owns. Perhaps then you'd understand the ad.

Best of luck.
