Since I downloaded iOS 7, I can't access the "lock" orientation key that used to be on the control centre. I've flagged on "use side switch to: Lock Rotation", but to be honest I have no idea what this means. How do I "lock" orientation of my screen with this new operating system?

Have you checked control center? from the lock screen, swipe up from the botton middle of the screen, you should see the screen lock there. If not check in settings and general. You might also try restarting the device to see if it shows up

With iOS7 on an iPhone, you lock the rotation by bringing up the control center and selecting the "Lock Rotation" icon. To bring up the control center, swipe up from the bottom of your screen. You should see a translucent display with the control center options:

I've checked control center and it's not there. I have sound and brightness controls, "play" controls, quick links to camera, time clock, bluetooth, Airplane mode, WiFi, Do Not Disturb, mute and AirDrop, but no orientation lock?
Once I shut down my iPad and restarted, the lock orientation now shows up on control centre. Thanks!
