Never said no one had that problem. The number of Google results is irrelevant.
If I google 'Tom Cruise', I get 130 million results. But there aren't 130 million Tom Cruises in the world.
Nor are all of those 20 million results you quote related to this issue. By the time you get to page 5 or 6 of the Google results, it stops talking about the wi-fi greyed out issue, and starts with results about wi-fi in general, or iPhones in general.

Okay, 139 million. My bad. Or 13.3 million if you Google "Tom Cruise" (with quotation marks included, which makes the search specific to that string).
And guess what happens when you Google "apple ios 7 wifi 4s" (with quotation marks)? You get ONE result, that leads back to this thread.
If you're going to use Google to support your argument, then use it properly.

Google results are not accurate research to support a claim that 'millions' of devices have this issue. But it's amusing to watch people try to use it to support their arguments.
Pretty much every online news article I see that talks about this simply refers back to THIS FORUM, and reports 'hundreds' of users. But no other supporting documentation. When you see a news article that actually supports the 'millions' claim, let me know. I'll be glad to read it.

Here's the Apple article that addresses this problem: iOS: Wi-Fi settings grayed out or dim - Support - Apple - http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1559 .
If the issue is still unresolved after using that article, then contact Apple Support or visit an Apple Retail Store.
If you are within warranty, the repalcement should be free. If not, you will pay a reduced price for a replacement.
That's it. That's the only advice that needs to be given for this issue, which has already been given multiple times.
Everything else is just ranting, whining, and complaining (or responses to such, like I've done), which is useless to all of us.
Use the troubleshooting article.
Contact Apple.
Get a replacement.

This is clear for everybody I think.

Maybe someone found a solution that can be home made (ok, that's really hard, but it can happen).
My next step is to disassembly iPhone and check components to the electronic microscope. I hope to find some capacitor or resistence that is not well welded...
Is difficult to explain in english, but I want to try.
My job is repairing hardware devices for knitting machines.
We use THT, SMD and BGA technology.
The Murata IC that manage WiFi and Bluetooth is a BGA component, so is very hard to replace it, literally IMPOSSIBLE without particular machines.
Some say that air-drayer and freezer helps. Ok. Let's see some pictures about capacitor and resistors:

Sometimes the metal pad of both devices can broke, resulting like an open circuit.
If you expand or contract (depends which part of the device is broken) you can connect the pad to the body, so the circuit resulting close. Maybe is for this reason that some iphone works with freezer and some with hot air.
This is my opinion, I'll do it at my own risk. I'm out of warranty but I've got professional instruments to do it, so don't follow me. I'll do it and I'll let you know.
This is the sense of this discussion, I think...

Want to give your opinion to Apple? Go to www.apple.com/feedback. That's where Apple will listen.
Whining, complaining, crying, moaning, groaning, etc... NONE of that is appropriate for this forum, and NONE of that will get results from Apple when posted here. The wi-fi greyed out problem has been on these boards for a LOOOONG time.
In short, go talk directly to someone that can do something about it. No one here can fix the system for you.

ONLY APPLE can comment on whether or not there was a 'faulty' batch.

The following information applies ONLY if you bought your phone from a Swedish retailer or Swedish Apple Store.
If you have warranty or AppleCare left for your phone, this applies:
Get it replaced, fastest and easiest via Apple Store. Or go via your purchase place (retailer), but it should take more time so yes via Apple direct is best for you.
If you do NOT have warranty or AppleCare left:
Under Swedish law, you have three (3) years from the purchase date to have your unit repaired or replaced if fault is not influenced by you. This is called "reklamationsrätt" and you can read more about on Konsumentverket´s site.
When you want to take advantage of "reklamationsrätt" you must go to the place you purchased the product on. Apple store can not do anything for you if you bought the phone through a retailer or phone carrier. Then contact them and was accurate and clear that you want to use the "reklamationsrätt". And don´t pay anyting if you know that the fault is NOT influenced by you.

I recomend EVERYONE else to do the same. (Im going to send them 1 a day for the next 2 weeks)

Try an old-fashioned written letter. Or talk live to someone at Apple Support, and ask to get connected to a supervisor.

You would think apples own forums would be apple product friendly. You don't think anyone from apple reads this? I just had 2 posts removed, so someone reads it as well as the people out there looking for a way to remedy the problems with the 4s's battery and wifi after installing ios 7. You seam to think you know it all since you have been on the boards here since what? June? 5 months makes you an expert on all apple? Why don't you answer all the other questions posted on here in reply to you. You keep posting the same repetitive answers that no one knows is correct or not. Only apple can truly answer this and by the news story last week, they have. Well I'm not backing down on this one. None of us should. We did nothing wrong here but upgrade our ios to apples latest, which they said will work with our phones. We did nothing wrong here but buy an apple product and we get punished for that. I don't give a shoot what the terms say. We did nothing wrong and we take the hit? Further more, you don't have this problem, so just leave these threads about the 4s's battery & wifi stuff alone already. You aren't helping.
