Q: Archive vs. delete mail

My iPhone 5 (iOS7) is set up with Gmail so that I can swipe to the left and delete the mail. My wife's iPhone 5 (iOS7) will only offer archive when swiping. If I view the mail, I can hold the button at the bottom for a second and get the option of deleting. Is there a setting to change it so delete is the default swipe action?

I'm not exactly where, but I read that earlier and someone said it is in the Mail settings. You just have to look a little further in for it.
