My iPhone froze during updating..

Hey guys, I have a rather.. Unique situation.

During updating to iOS 7 my phone completely froze. Yes, I know the standard drill - put your phone into DFU mode, etc.

Well, that's the problem. I have a broken lock screen button, I've had my phone for three years now (iPhone 4) and the button has worn. Is there another way to enter reset or DFU mode without the aid of a power button? When I connect it to iTunes it gives me an error saying "Unable to activate."

Anyone know how to fix this? If not I'm going to go down to the repair shop tomorrow and get the lock button fixed. (normally I use the assitive touch)
