iOS 7 won't let me delete apps on iphone

Seems simple, but restart the iPhone and try to delete the apps again. That's always your first step. Let us know.

If you can, hook it up to your Mac/PC via USB cable and in iTunes, go find that device and see if you can get to the place where you can re-arrange home screen icons, etc. You can delete the apps from there, then perform a sync.

I Thought with new iPhones and iPads we wouldn't need to connect to a PC to get to iTunes to fix things. I'm having the same problem as above. Two apps don't belong on my iPhone. They were on my iPad, they are in limbo and my iPhone will not update to ios7.2 because it says there are apps that need to update. This is my second iPhone 5s after trying to get a better iPhone because of Sensorgate. This is getting old. I've never had these kind of issues with my previous iPhones. I'm kind of wishing I never "upgraded". Any other solutions? Is apple going to address these things. When I talk to a "Apple Genius" they always ask are you updated on the cloud and want to factory reset my phone.. Nothing happens. No fix..

I have had the same issue and have attempted the same suggestions. None of them worked, but I found something that did.....if you go into the App Store and RE-download the apps, they will download completely and either delete or you will then be able to long-hold, press the X, and delete. Works every time.

re-download then delete works IF you can find the original.

i cannot find "coin pass" in the store and it otherwise refuses to delete/work,

so my phone is still in limbo wrt this one.

other suggestions?
