I had the exact same problem....but now my iTunes radio works. Idk if this solved my problem, but in the iTunes Preferences under store, I checked the "show iTunes in cloud purchases" and iTunes radio magically started working. But then again, I also restarted my computer and made sure I was on a good wifi connection. So I have no idea. Haha, sorry if I was no help! User uploaded file

Onelle's solution worked for me as well, and it was the only thing I tried. I can't remeber if "show iTunes in cloud purchases" was an option in the previous version, or if I would've had it ticked. After I saw that my radio was working, I went back to preferences and un-ticked "show iTunes in cloud purchases" and the radio still worked. Maybe not having it ticked prohibits itunes from communicating with icloud and prevents authorization. Perhaps the conduit just needs to be opened for initial authorization to occur--after that you can close it?

Bear in mind "internet radio" is different than the iTunes "radio". "Radio" is iTunes new service, whereas "internet radio" has been available for many years and many past versions of iTunes. The > preferences >General> Internet Radio box has no affect on the "Radio" function of iTunes, at least in the capacity of what is being described in the original post.
