Bug when launching calculator from Control Center

On my iPhone 5 running iOS 7, when launching the calculator app from the control center it creates this white pixelated area in the top left corner of the screen. This white area stays on for about a second and disappears. It will reappear when switching back to the home screen. This ONLY happens when launching the app from the control center. Opening the app directly from the Calculator app icon does not produce this. I have rebooted the phone. Issue persists. I can reproduce this every single time when launching it from the control center. Anyone else experiencing this?
