Feb 8, 2014 9:16 AM in response to Eringabrielleeby Hemmi12ac,★HelpfulI had the same problem and tried @kempospa advice and it still didnt work but this did: go to general then reset then reset Network settings then connect to your wifi then reset to automatic date and time. I then went into iMessage under settings and was signed in but I had to sign into FaceTime.

Jun 29, 2014 2:50 AM in response to iPadWorxby knirketrapp,Thank you, this fixed the problem on my wife’s iPhone We’d just been abroad and changed the time zone manually, and when we came back home again iMessage stopped working. Very bizarre that this solution works.

Aug 30, 2014 4:23 AM in response to Eringabrielleeby pedan,I had this problem on my iMac - FaceTime kept asking me to sign in and then wouldn't work and told me to check network etc. This happened several times and yet FaceTime was working fine on my iPad.
I tried turning off my Mac and when I turned it back on and went to FaceTime, signed in and magic it all worked again no problem.
It was that simple for me so worth a try!

May 22, 2015 6:32 PM in response to Eringabrielleeby gibsogd0,I had the same problem after upgrading and fixed it by resetting my network settings. If you go to settings>general>reset>reset network settings, and reset,it might work! You'll have to re-enter your wifi passwords though.

Jul 26, 2015 7:30 PM in response to Eringabrielleeby Briggyd,I had this exact same problem on my mac - restarting didn't help and neither did a couple of other forums. I finally found the fix and it was totally illogical - open date and time preferences by clicking on the clock in the top right of the screen, then check the box 'set date and time automatically:" After that, sign back i by going to messages > preferences > account > imessage sign in. Worked immediately after!

Sep 1, 2015 10:21 PM in response to Kempospaby Babou18,I didn't have problem with iMessage, I faced this issue only in Facetime. I resolved it by setting the time automatically and it worked fine again.
I didn't have to reboot, I only close Facetime before the change then I open it again after the time was automatically set.
