I've updated to IOS 7 and lost the Airplay, there is nothing in the control centre as the trouble shooting pages suggest how it should look, any suggestions please. Thanks

Try the following:
1. Reset the AirPlay devices
2. Reboot the router
3. Reboot the iPad
Thanks, this might sound daft but how do I reboot the iPad ?
Restart iPad
1. Hold down the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
2. Drag the slider to turn off iPad.
3. Turn iPad back on, hold down the Sleep/Wake until the Apple logo appears

Help, I updated last night and have lost the airplay? There is nothing for it in the control centre, any suggestions please.
