Q: iOS 7 keep turned off my iCloud settings and asking my password

Hi,

I upgrade to iOS 7 the day before yesterday. Everything's fine until yesterday's morning. When I received a text message, I found it's shown under the tel number, rather than names from my contact list. Then I found all my setting in iCloud were turned off. I turned them on, and everything's fine after that. But today, it turned off all my settings again and stars to keep asking me sign-in my iCloud account. I checked my iCloud account settings, it seems correct for me. I can correctly get all the informations from iCloud. But it just keep asking my passwords...

Any ideas about this?

Thanks very much in advance,

I filed a bug on this back in October (15245661), which Apple has yet to respond to or acknowlegd.

Well I stopped playing clash of clans and have not had this issue in over a month, so I can say that without a doubt that clash of clans was triggering this bug.

Thankfully I also bough an Ipad mini retina so I wont be playing that game on my iphone too much anymore which avoids the issue for me.

I did reset the phone and set up as new. Almost did not install the program , only the most necessary . One week, everything worked perfectly. After that, I again restored with all the old backup in iTunes ( with iCloud also tried ) . Again, the problems began with the collapse of icloud and password request in gamecenter. I made a copy of the all programs and their data in iTools. Reset  and set up phone as new , loaded all the programs separately from the iTools. Photo threw in photostream hands. I sacrificed all sms: ( They can not be restored separately. But now the second week everything works perfectly. And I play CoC and regularly use other heavy  programs . No problems anymore.

It turns out there is no problem with setting up your phone as new. These problems occur when you use the backup to restore .

I am having a problem with my ipad 5 and facebook/hay day interface.  Mainly there isn't one!  I used to have a delay in hay day pulling up friends but since moving from my first ipad 5 to one with more memory I cannot get Hay day to connect at all with facebook.  I cannot even pull up my friends on hay days leader board.

Today in frustration I tried backing everything but facebook up on icloud and then down loading it to my old Ipad 2.  No luck.  I still get the message they can not connect.  Anyone else had this type problem?

So this may work on the 4S, but not on the 4.  An ATT rep said iMessage can't be used on the iPhone4, since it can't acept the icloud password in the Message setup.  I'm not sure this is correct, but iMessage is continually "waiting for activation" after we upgraded to ios7.    Nothing we can do stops this "waiting for activation" message on the iPhone4.

Anyone have any ideas how to fix this, or was the ATT lady correct?

I'm here because my son's iPad Mini is doing the same thing. Yes, he's a hefty CoC user. This is maddening.

IT has nothing at all to do with CoC. I don't use CoC, never have and don't even know what it is and I have this same crazy maddening experience too.

We're suspecting that apps with hefty CPU and/or RAM usage that also use iCloud to store game data seem to blow some/all iCloud settings out of the water.

CoC (Clash of Clans) is most likely such an app, and has been cited several times.

Absolutely ruling out CoC because you do not use it is a logical fallacy.

I tried my ipad mini(1st generation, cellular) from ios7 beta4 to ios7.1 beta1 , none of them have fixed the problem.

For now , only iphone 4S, ipad 2, ipad mini , ipod touch 5 actually have this problem. They are all A5-chip,512M-RAM devices.

(I searched that some people say iphone 5 or iphone 5s or other devices have the same problem about iCloud, but those information were heard from their friends or friends of friends, not from themselves.)

More than a month everything worked perfectly. ios 7.1.b2. Played in the CoC, other heavy applications, everything is fine.

This morning I sent the SMS. The contacts were in place. Five minutes later, while trying to find a user to call, right before my eyes, contacts began to disappear. Looked in settings iCloud, they all are down again ... ios 7.1.b3.

    Apple, you're killing me ...

    Hey, I'm back.
Just had a conversation with apple's support team recently.

This might be the solution, but I'm not sure it'll help.
I'm using iPhone 4S, and I just did accordingly and will need to go through 24-48 hours of test.

PS: This once solved an iPhone 4 users.

    • I will recommend to do a new restore to the factory settings for this device using this link:https://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808

    • Doing the restore using the recovery mode will wipe everything on the device including the firmware and reinstall a fresh version of the software for you.

    • From there, you want then to test the device without any of your data on it for 24-48 hours.

    • Before doing so, you wan to make sure a backup is done for your data using this link:https://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766

    • I do backup myself to iTunes and iCloud just to be safe.

    • If the issue is resolved after the new restore as new and you tested the issue, you may retrieve your data using the 2nd link and test again.

    • In case the issue persists after the new restore as new and you tested without any of your data on the device, we may need to see an escalation on this to engineering for you and that is done only through our phone support department.

    Dk Radiuz,

I went through this with Apple Support (I have an IPhone 4S).

The restore to factory settings did seem to solve the issue, BUT when I restored from backup, the issue returned.

I had to restore from backup, because I have too much data and apps to rebuild from scratch manually.

Note - the problem did seem less harsh (or frequent) after the restore from backup, but it's still there.

    Sorry to hear that, lickety.

So far, It's been only 24 hours for me to test out.

I turned on every single tab on the iCloud, usually prompt out at least twice a day but it didn't in the first 24 hours. and not one iCloud Verify prompted out on my device right after I did a new restore to the factory settings and restore from backup.

It might look like it worked for me, or might not later on.

It's too soon for me to give out an answer.

Might resolve on other device, just try out guys.

Don't know if you don't try.

I have had the same issue with my ipad mini 1st gen. It actually started right after I install CoC in Dec 2013. I did the whole restore thing at the end of Dec, but issue remained. I just delete the CoC app and kept my saved game files. I am currently at 48 hours without an iCloud issues (knock on wood). Will update again tomorrow or next day if issues arise.
