Q: iOS 7 keep turned off my iCloud settings and asking my password

Hi,

I upgrade to iOS 7 the day before yesterday. Everything's fine until yesterday's morning. When I received a text message, I found it's shown under the tel number, rather than names from my contact list. Then I found all my setting in iCloud were turned off. I turned them on, and everything's fine after that. But today, it turned off all my settings again and stars to keep asking me sign-in my iCloud account. I checked my iCloud account settings, it seems correct for me. I can correctly get all the informations from iCloud. But it just keep asking my passwords...

Any ideas about this?

Thanks very much in advance,

I was in contact with Apple support. After long discussion (did you try reset the iPhone and blah blah blah) I convinced them that it is a systematical problem of iOS7. Especially switching off "search my iPhone" is a safety issue.

After that they connected me to the chief support executive, who told me that Apple is not aware about this problem.

He told me that he will forward the information to development department, but he was not sure if they will find a solution and when.

Therefore I ask everybody here in: Call Apple support an inform them about the problem. As more informations they get, as faster a error correction will be available.

By the way, Apple support is free of cost as long the problem is iOS related. Call them!

I am so tired of senior AppleCare iPod (my iOS device is an Apple iPod touch 5th gen. 64GB) support techs telling me they and engineering are unaware of this issue, and not getting how bad it is. It's just hopeless. It has been over six months now I've been putting up with temporary (but highly annoying at the wrong time) data loss because iCloud syncing services get turned off, and being prompted for my iCloud password up to several times a day.

Apple needs to get their act together.

It happens on my ipad mini as well.  Not sure why but just wanted to chime in to add to the list of affected users.

Yep.  Same problem.  iPhone 4S on iOS 7.1.1.  Very sporadic and very annoying.

Yes, yes. iPhone 4S, OS 7.1.1. Same issue since iOS 7 updating. It's very annoying. When I really need to call once, it cleared all data before. This should be fixed obviously.

iPhone 4S 16GB, ALL versions of iOS7 through 7.1.1, same issue. Constantly being asked for iCloud password, Game Center Password. Haven't had my contacts missing in a while, but definitely was still an issue in 7.1 where I would wake up and all of my contacts would have to re-sync after re-logging into iCloud.

Same here with my Iphone 4s 16gb running IOS 7.1,1. Just started this weekend with my contacts disappearring first then I noticed all my text messages didn't show the names. And now my icloud backup request me to reenter my password. Atleast twice today.

Today lost contacts 3 times and missed a few calls that had selected ringtones from my boss. Not good!

I've got this too.  Mainly noticable as contacts disapearing and Find My iPhone turning itself off.

Like a lot of people here it seems, I have an iPhone 4s.

I'm kind of hoping it's a 4s problem as then it'll be cured when I upgrade in autumn.

I turned off Game Center and the problem is long gone. Turned it back on last week and the bugs mentioned above all come back until I switch off GC again. With GC on, I couldn't even log on with my own iCloud account when asked, it keep saying "Could not connect to server".

So now, I decided to leave it off LOL.

I haven't had my contacts disappear for awhile, but I have had Game Center, iMessage and FaceTime all get logged out recently.  That's in addtion to Find My iPad getting turned off.

I find that as long as I don't run too many different apps or reboot my iPad 2 around every 2 or 3 days, the problem won't occur.   I'm sure turning off Game Center would work as well, but I don't want to do that.

Apple isn't going to address this issue, so don't get your hopes up.  They're going to continue to ignore you and give you bs answers.  I've spoken with an 'engineer' (using the term very loosely) and he states that I have too many iOS devices on the iCloud using only "Find My iPad" that's why everything is prompting for Apple ID sign in.  Give me a break.

This has happened to me over the last 2 days - trying hard to figure out which app is eating/corrupting memory and causing it. Only thing that has changed for me recently is installing Minion Rush and Letterpress. I have noticed Angry Birds: Epic has issues with connecting to Game Center.

    I'm currently running 7.1.2 on my iPhone 4S 16Gb.
