I have an Ipod 4g touch. While playing on my ipod...

I use to be up to date with my lap top and Ipod. I play Candy Crush, I always connected to friends on face book and now it won't connect. It seems to try but it won't go. Also, my ICON on my Ipos is NOT showing my picture as it DOES show friends. What might have to be done? I must of done something but never mess with my settings. And it was fine up till now. I can play the game but my level on my lap top is not the same as on my Ipod. It was before, staying in synk...Hope someone can advice me....Help!!! Should I re-set to factory settings? How would I do that? I can play candy crush and go to face book and get my mail. My game just WILL NOT connect to facebook/update. Thank you so much for ANY help...
