Mailboxes disappeared ios 7

I updated my iphone 4s to ios 7 without problems, and everything was working fine. This morning I woke up and half of my email accounts are missing from mail. When I look in settings the accounts are all listed and active, but in mail itself it only shows the two Exchange-based accounts. I have tried removing and readding one (iCloud me.com account) to see if it placed it back in my mailbox list, but with no luck. The fact the accoutns were there last night and are gone 6 hours later seems suspect. Anyone else had this issue, and if so, any luck resolving it?

Same situation here: 4s, multiple mail accounts all visible immediately after upgrade for several hours, then mysteriously disappeared. Disappearance was not as a result of any change of settings - it actually happened while I was not using my phone. I picked it up, and noticed that the count of unread mail had drastically changed. Original accounts are all present under mail section in Settings. Just gone from the actual application. Any ideas?

Same issue as stated above. 4s upgraded to 7.x, worked fine for several days, and suddenly Exchange and Outlook (nee Hotmail) accounts dissappeared. Restart did get them showing up, but it does not build one's confidence.

RE: "it's an exchange issue" - I have grown weary of that reply for issues with Exchange. It might be, but that does not relieve Apple of the opportunity to address it. They have not come out with a corporate email solution which would be a replacement for Exchange, so Apple needs to find a way to make the mail (and the calendering, and the invites) a bit more bulletproof.

Yep, same issue here - iPhone 4 though. I use only POP accounts, no cloud mail syncing, no exchange accounts. All were deleted today after several days working fine. On trying to add them back in, it refused to accept the known good login details for the mailbox, telling me either a username or password was wrong.

I did not try restarting the iPhone, but instead restored a backup. That did not work...... all accounts are still deleted even though I know that backup was done when the mail accounts were working.

So a restore failed to get my mail accounts back and I can't manually add mail accounts. My iphone cannot now send or receive mail.

EDIT: clicking "Sync Mail Accounts" through iTunes - did put the one mailbox I selected back on the iphone and all mail has returned. I've only added one account back in so far. Will update how it performs.

Had this very same issue.... I have a mixture of exchange and POP accounts... exchange was always available, and some of the POP accounts were too. Just not all of the POP accounts. I restarted my phone and it was corrected.

waiting for it to happen again... as you know that it probably will. Things that go away by themselves, usually return by themselves...
