My me.com address has stopped working

I signed up for an icloud account a few months ago and set up my mail to use the me.com version of my account email address. I told all my friends to use the new xxxx@me.com address and all was working fine until about a week ago (mid-Septemeber 2013) when all mail being sent out from the me.com address or being sent to my me.com address was being either unsent or undeliverable. The icloud.com address version of the account address works fine. I'd like to avoid having to tell everyone to change their address for me *another* time! Is it possible to revive the me.com version of my address?

Go to www.icloud.com and sign in to your account. Then choose Mail. When Mail panel will be open in bottom left corner you have a settings button - choose prefferences. Then go to Accounts tab and check what addresses are listed there. Is your @me.com address there?

User uploaded file

If yes, then use webmail and sent test email by using your @me.com to yourself (to your @me.com account). If webmail doesn't show @me.com or you are not able to sent email or email is not received, then contact with AppleCare as this could be issue on the server side.

However, if webmail works ok, then problem could be with your Mail app. Open Mail app and from top panel choose Window->Connection Doctor. Can you see there any red dots?
