Jun 25, 2015 2:53 PM in response to john_petrucciby yonatan aguilar,This actually does worked on my Iphone 5S and my Ipad using iOS 8.3 as of June 25 2015 .
Everyone who is having this error try this out.
Like he said,
Plug in your Iphone/Ipad to your computer.
Make some chances to your current apps, music, videos, etc and then instead of clicking "Sync" click "APPLY"
After clicking "Apply" iTunes will start transferring all your apps, movies, music etc like if it was a new phone.
It takes like 10 minutes to re-sync it all but it works like a charm.
-
Jun 25, 2015 3:01 PM in response to john_petrucciby Andrew Magart,Thanks John,
That 'apply' not 'sync' is still a working fix on iPhone6 with iTunes 12.1.2. I did unauthorise and reauthorise and sign-out sign-in before doing that so it may be I needed to do all?

Jun 29, 2015 5:05 PM in response to NasserHAlmoumenby speedoholic,WORKS LIKE A CHARM:
"You have apps on the phone that were purchased with a different Apple ID than the one that the computer is Authorized for. You need to add the Apple ID to iTunes that those apps were purchased with. It is OK to have iTunes authorized to more than one Apple ID."
The items you're trying to play might have been purchased using a different iTunes Store account. To determine which account was used to purchase an item, follow the steps below:
- Select a purchased song in your library.
- Mac: From the menu bar at the top of your computer screen, choose File > Get Info.
Windows: Press Control and B on your keyboard to turn on the iTunes menu bar. From the menu bar, choose File > Get Info. Learn more about menus in iTunes for Windows. - Click the File tab. Make note of the Account Name that appears in the list. This is the account name (Apple ID) that you need to use when you authorize your computer to play this purchase.
The Apple ID that appears is the one that you used when you purchased the item. The Apple ID you used to purchase the item doesn't change, even if you change your Apple ID. - Authorize your computer.
If you authorized the Apple ID that is shown in the Summary File tab, check your purchase history for that Apple ID. If your purchase history doesn't reflect the purchase of the items in your iTunes library, think about any other Apple ID you might have created, and authorize your computer for that Apple ID.
If you forgot the password to one of your accounts, recover it using Apple's password-recovery website.

Jul 8, 2015 12:19 PM in response to Abinsur23by i8thebrownies,I have been working on this issue for hours. One things that led to success was logging out of iTunes on my Mac, and logging back in. I am not longer sure what all I did to fix this issue...but this seems to be one key thing.

Jul 9, 2015 10:46 AM in response to i8thebrowniesby foxcub 6,HHas any body found a fix for this I've tried a few of suggestions on this page it worked for a few times then went back to this problem this computer is not authorised carry on ,to be honest Apple are now beginning to **** me off with their poor software ok the trial is Free but I also pay for I tunes match so I ain't that happy . I went to the local Apple Store yesterday and wasted my time to be honest everything I've tried is what the Apple guy suggested I know sometimes putting out software does effect some folk but there is a fair no of folk with this problem Apple need to pay attention more before putting out software The Maps saga springs to mind

Jul 10, 2015 4:21 AM in response to Calvdonby foxcub 6,Did you ever get it to work properly I've the same issue
-
Aug 4, 2015 4:05 AM in response to foxcub 6by Andrew Magart,A few things looked like they worked but the problem still came back.
BUT
I once did a sync with another iOS device on the same Mac with a different apple ID (family shared) it worked fine, no trouble for weeks.
Perhaps it was trying to sync things on the other apple ID and that hadn't been authorised on iTunes yet.

Aug 19, 2015 8:44 AM in response to Calvdonby seree86,I realized my issue had to do with purchasing apps with two different Apple/iTunes IDs.
This is what solved the issue for me:
- Deauthorize and signed out of all iTunes on all Macs.
- Log out of iTunes on mobile device.
- Sign in to iTunes on one Mac and mobile device with main iTunes login.
- Authorize Mac with main iTunes account login.
- Authorize for any other Apple/iTunes accounts you may have. (Yes, you can authorize more than want ID)
- Sync Device

Aug 27, 2015 6:18 PM in response to Cruz Phamby Le FiSa,˜I have resolved the problem. If some apps on your phone has installed by another Apple ID (it's not current Apple ID) then You must remove all of them. After that you deauthorize and authorize again. It will be working OK ˜
CRUZ PHAM solved my problem. thanks!!

Oct 17, 2015 3:52 AM in response to Calvdonby agorafromhaifa,I had this problem several times.
In order to solve it, I had to authorize all the iTunes account I ever signed into on my mobile device.
I have 3 such accounts.
I had to sign up into each account separately in iTunes, and authorize each one of them on my PC.
Only then I managed to sync my mobile device with iTunes.

Nov 14, 2015 8:54 AM in response to speedoholicby kdp001,Thank you. This worked for me.
To clarify for others, I purchased a new iPad for my daughter, and have given her her own Apple ID. The apps (including the IOS 9.1 update) installed were done under this new Apple ID.
My daughter is 7, but I don't think that the age was the issue. Her account was registered under Family Sharing, so that wasn't the issue either.
The problem was that my mac was not authorized for this new Apple ID. It would not sync the new iPad. Simply re-entering the password for own Apple ID does not help.
I needed to authorize my Mac for my daughter's new Apple ID. Problem solved.

Dec 12, 2015 8:07 AM in response to Calvdonby kingfisher500,This is how I fixed this problem. I could not sync my iPad. When the problem began a couple of days ago, I got this alert message. After many attempts to fix it, following the suggestions here, the sync was simply cancelled with no reason given as reported in the thread shown here <Itunes keeps cancelling sync ???>.
None of the suggestions given in that thread solved the problem, either.
I finally followed the suggestion to restore my iPad. I connected to iTunes and did a restore to factory settings and then restored the iPad data from my backup, which is on my computer. I was then able to run sync without any issue.
