Trying to sync my ipod to my computer. Error message on itunes states I need to authorize my computer. I have done this, also logged in and out. Still not syncing. Updated new itunes. I have windows 8 and cant find a tutorial on showing hidden files as suggested on the apple site for authorizations. No other apple id conntected.

What happens when you try to sync?
Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?
The itunes link suggests that I remove SC info folder. I dont have instructions on how to do this. I am working with windows 8
When I try to sync it gets to step 5 then asks me to authorize the computer

The ipod sucessfully syncs with the other computer. ( my work computer) the issue is at home.

If you have the Authorization straightened out, you can only sync using the manual method to other than your one syncing computer. You can only sync movies and music.

My next question is this: While trying to solve this issue, I deauthorizated all comptuers/devices and then only had the one (home computer) and it still gave me the error on syncing; to authorize the computer. It was authorized, and I logged out and back and also refreshed. It was the only computer active at that time. Should it have not taken over as the only synced computer?
You created a problem by syncing the iPod with your work computer. For security, Apple doesn't allow a device to sync with multiple computers - unless they are on the same wifi network.
