itunes computer authorization

Trying to sync my ipod to my computer. Error message on itunes states I need to authorize my computer. I have done this, also logged in and out. Still not syncing. Updated new itunes. I have windows 8 and cant find a tutorial on showing hidden files as suggested on the apple site for authorizations. No other apple id conntected.

Maybe:

iTunes repeatedly prompts to authorize computer to play iTunes Store purchases

What happens when you try to sync?

Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?

Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?

Do the songs play in iTunes?

Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?

The itunes link suggests that I remove SC info folder. I dont have instructions on how to do this. I am working with windows 8

When I try to sync it gets to step 5 then asks me to authorize the computer

The ipod is synced to another computer but with the same itunes account

I have had it successfully synced before the update

The songs play in itunes

The ipod sucessfully syncs with the other computer. ( my work computer) the issue is at home.

I am submiting this info before checking the second link you provided as it wont save what I have written

Thank you. My next question is this: While trying to solve this issue, I deauthorizated all comptuers/devices and then only had the one (home computer) and it still gave me the error on syncing; to authorize the computer. It was authorized, and I logged out and back and also refreshed. It was the only computer active at that time. Should it have not taken over as the only synced computer?

You created a problem by syncing the iPod with your work computer. For security, Apple doesn't allow a device to sync with multiple computers - unless they are on the same wifi network.
