iPad NOTES app crashing since 7.0.1 update

I updated my iPad to iOS 7.0.1 yesterday, and am finding that the Notes app crashes every time I try to update certain notes that I created today on my iPad 3.

I use Notes more than a few times a day, and have over 700 notes in one notepad which convieniently backs up to my Gmail and is searchable there. So, I hope that Notes crashing gets fixed soon. I've tried other Notes apps such as Notebook+ and Noteability and Evernote, but I keep returning to the Apple Notes app for its convenience and simplicity.

Yes, I tried quitting the app, and rebooting the iPad. Same issue. NOTES app crashes when trying to update a few different short notes created today.

Never experienced any crash in Notes on previous iOS versions.

Same issue here, with iPad 3. Notes worked at first after update. Then, it crashed while I was searching for a Note. I have also quit app, and restarted iPad, but as soon as i open Notes it briefly flashes that last screen I was on (I had been searching for a note, so it briefly shows the keyboard, the list of notes on the left, and the search box) and then immediately shuts down again.

I looked for notes in Spotlight Search, as someone suggested, but got the same result when i tried to open it from there.

Nothing seems to resolve it. really hoping I don't need to reboot the whole thing and start all over again setting up all of the other apps that required passwords, verification codes, etc etc....

I've got this problem too. I updated to iOS 7.0.3 and Notes crash (it may have been a problem since iOS 7.0.1 but didn't use Notes during that period) - have resorted to using Evernote now. Have cleared cache etc - notes still fine on iPhone, Macair, MacPro.

Well, the crashes seem to be resolved. It was crashing often on 7.0.1 and 7.0.2 but not recently. Have not seen any crashes yet on 7.0.4.

I just updated my ipad mini to the latest ios7.0.4 and now my notepad crashes immediately after opening. What do I do. I rebooted. No change. HELP! Thank you!

Did you leave some text in your search box at the top left? If there is leftover search text, sometimes that causes my iPad Notes app to crash. Deleting the text helps solve this problem.

Im experiencing the same defect too (critical) , i just updated my ipad mini to the latest ios7.0.4 and now my notepad crashes immediately after opening. i have no leftover text on the search field .....does any one have a workaround ?

I struggled with this then found something that worked (I have an ipad 3 which I updated) I went to Settings-General-Reset then 'Reset all settings' (this doesn't delete contents etc)
