I have all the settings for automatic app updates turned on including the option to use cellular data to update the apps yet it isn't working and i have a red number badge on my App Store icon. When are these updates supposed to download themselves? This new feature is obviously not working correctly.

Same problem with my iPhone.
Ok i am glad it isn't just me. Kind of annoying since the whole point was you didn't have to keep checking the App Store for updates. Hopefully it gets fixed soon
I saw that too but when I waited for a few minutes it applied the updates. Patience!
The number of apps needing updates did not appear as a red badge on the App Store icon until I after opened the app. Once I opened it, selected updates, eight app updates were listed as pending! I waited for at least an hour and finally updated them manually.
I think I left it on overnight/charging and in the morning there were notifications from the App Store app about a bunch of apps updated

Ok so has anyone had success with this? This is really getting on my nerves since i still have to manually go into the the App Store and update my apps when i have all the settings on for automatic downloads. Anyone else besides me and Hersco experiencing this?
When I open the App Store, there's a bunch of apps waiting for update. Then I close the App Store & a bafpdge appears
Within a few minutes, the badge disappears & the apps update
But nine of this happens if I don't open the App Store first of all

I'm beginning to think it's a matter of timing. I checked all morning for the badge indicating that one or more apps were in need of updates. Nothing. Then, just now, I opened the App Store app and discovered that three new updates had already occurred in the background today.
i have the same issue running ios10
Same here... tried everything, resetting and restore, resetting everything and start like a new phone, cleared cash for app store, sign out and back in with my apple id... nothing helped! Is this a know issue, as it seems Apple does not know what is happening... 😟
