Some new photos in Camera Roll are all just black, after recent upgrade to iOS 7.

You said that you backed up your phone but restored not from the backup...

So how the issue with the black photo has been resolved?

I have the same exact problem! I thought I'd never find someone that asked this question!! I've been searching since yesterday!! I love the new update but I feel so regretful now. I restarted my phone I tried a lot of things and it won't work... I love taking pics of my lil ones and looking at them and now I can't even see them! Someone please help.!! Thank you and blesses!

Another person with the same problem.

I've noticed if I go in and change the filter or remove it, then save the photo back it seems to fix it for that photo.

Haven't done a lot of testing, but worth looking at.

Edit: When I view them through iCloud on my desktop they appear just fine. Clearly something with just the Camera App and IOS 7.

Today is the first time I had an issue since updating to iOS7 on the relapse date. I have to say, I haven't had any issues taking pictures at all, it's when I started using the filters (Chrome) on my iPhone 4S, the issue you described started.

I did try the above mentioned fix, but no success. So I opened the pictures in Snapseed and it removed the filter automatically and I was able to save picture in the camera roll and view it.

Apple please work these bugs out soon!

This is nothing compared to my work apps closing on me in the middle of a report or another app popping up without me even loading it. My company gave us the go ahead to upgrade and clearly was not thought out!!!

I have the same problem and none of the fixes have helped me. I spoke with staff at the Apple Store who said it was the first they had heard of it. Please help

Ive got the same.. Used original filters in the camera, but im not sure that be guilty.. Will try more

Here is a temporary fix. Select the photo>edit>autocorrect>save. Not the best of choices but at this point it is the only way I found to be able to view the photo and send as message.

This is going to be a mess if Apple doesn't fix it soon.

Same here, iPhone 4s upgraded to iOS7.

Some pictures and videos appear black only when are zoomed fully, they are visible in thumbnails view. A restart seems to fix it (for a while)

In two opportunities the camera behaved jerky and finally crashed, the second crash caused the phone to restart.

First crash occured while taking pictures and second crash occured while taking videos.

Guys can you all please post your phone models? thanks.

I Have exactly the same problem some of my picture are coming out black since the ios7 update!! Also I've noticed not all my picture are on my photo stream on my other devices, even though my photo stream are on to share hopefully they fix this soon!! I Have an iPhone 4S .

I have the 4S. Now the camera is close to worthless.

Hello everyone, same problem here.
I think (and really just think) that maybe the filters causes the trouble. Sometimes when I try to send a picture by mail, it only sends the original picture, not the filtered version.

I was able to get mine fixed thankfully. I backed up my phone on itunes. I restored it to a NEW device, not from the back up. I restored it into a whole new phone. I tested out the camera and it worked perfectly. So I restored it to the back up I made and the camera now works perfectly thankfully!

I have the same exact problem...I was in NY on vacation and it was working fine then just all of a sudden, thumbnails were black. I can see the pic on the camera roll, and also if I hit edit, but otherwise it's just black. Really annoying so hoping someone posts an easy fix and soon. My brother advised me not to do the update before leaving town in case of bugs...and I so should have listened to him!
