There was an a small, free application for OS9 (back when we called applications "programs") that let me speak any link on a page in Safari. The browser activated the link. It worked nearly flawlessly. All these years later, I still can't find anything that can do it.
Browsing was so much faster with that setup. Isn't there something that can do it now???

Have you tried using Dictation in Mountain Lion?
I've used dictation, but I want to be able to surf the web by saying links as I was able to do with SurfTalk on OS9.

Yes, I've been using Speakable Items since the mid-90s. I think it had to be turned on for Surftalk to work. Speakable Items has never allowed links in websites to be spoken.
Anyone have an update on this? Is there still no way to speak links to navigate in Safari like Surftalk allowed in the mid-90s?
