I can't send email after the iOS7 update....this is a show stopper for me. When is a fix expected?

First it would help if you explain exactly what happens when you send an email.
Do you get an error message?
If so what does the message say?
The abilitly to send or receive emails does not fall on Apple or the IOS 7.
You email provider gives you that ability.
Double check and make sure your outgoing mail server is correct.
Right before the update I could send email...right after the upgrade I can't send email. I did not change any settings.
Again nothing to do with IOS 7.
If you actually took the time to write what exactly happens then maybe you'll get more troubleshooting tips.

Sorry, I don't mean to be short...but I don't know how to do that.
settings - mail - email account - account - outgoing mail server.
So I have a picture on my phone. I select it, email it to my gmail account...the phone makes a sending sound but it never arrives in my gmail.
I tried changing my default email to my iCloud address and tried sending a picture from my phone that way and it never arrived in my icloud (me) email either.
Send an email without a picture and see if you get it. If you do, then I might have to do with the size of the picture.
Okay, I'm at Gmail STMP server says it's "on"....now what?
I tried sending an email without a picture (several times) and nothing arrived in gmail.
Then click on it again - then enter your username and password.
Nothing changed.
Hmmm, do you have a good wifi or cellular data signal?
Try a reset, no data loss, hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot bakc up.
I do and it's working great...I can brows the internet at a good speed.
I see that a lot of other people are complaining about the same problem.
I just got a ton of emai.....something must have just happened.
