Remove and re-insert the SIM.
Replace the SIM.

Tried to re-insert, didn't work :(
Will have to get a new SIM, but should that really be necessary.....could be a huge amount of SIMs worldwide.....:(
i have the same problem, using ipad 2 too, but it just happened after update ios 7.0.2
