Sep 27, 2013 1:42 AM in response to Doctom_66by Dship10,I had the same problem, tried everything! Trust me, everything! Called CS and got the iPhone specialist and we tried everything AGAIN! Spent over an hour on the phone (she even tried to blame Apple) it wasn't until I demanded that my call be escalated that the problem was fixed (within 10 min). The trick was, they had to totally reset my VM so that I had to set it up from scratch. New password, set up recording, the works! Then viola! Visual voicemail came back and my VM indicator! Don't give up! They CAN fix it!

Sep 29, 2013 4:21 PM in response to Dship10by jerpic,After 45 minutes on the phone with Straight Talk I was told that they were unable to reset my wife's voicemail, and short of a master reset where everything on the phone would be erased, I'd need to contact Apple directly for a solution. Customers on Verizon, Sprint, AT&T and StraightTalk are all having this issue on iPhone 4 phones after upgrading to iOS 7.

Wrong. All customers are not having this issue. A few are. And there are always a few who have this issue regardless of the version of iOS or the model of the phone. For most carriers simply using Reset network settings fixes it. Occasionally asking the carrier to reset voicemail then reprovision it fixes it. But ST has about the worst customer service of any carrier, with the possible exception of Net 10. Both are under a handicap because they are resellers, and they do not have direct access to the carrier's provisioning systems. They must send electronic service requests to the actual carrier and hope the carrier does the right thing.

Sep 29, 2013 7:45 PM in response to Doctom_66by Doctom_66,Spent hours on the phone with ST over the weekend. After doing a master reset, I lost cellular data. ST said it was an phone problem. Made an appointment at the Apple Store and they replaced the phone. I did get data back, but still have the exact same voice mail problems. ST can not reset my voice mail. It had been escalated to a level 3 tech. It's crazy.

Nov 12, 2013 7:30 PM in response to Doctom_66by GuyGene,I fixed my iPhone 5 running iOS 7.03: settings, general, removed APN settings, restarted iPhone, voila, data, everything now works!

Nov 13, 2013 8:33 AM in response to GuyGeneby Doctom_66,It's a CDMA phone, you can't make adjustments to the APN settings. It has been a real problem missing voicemail messages. I really just need to switch phones or carriers I guess.

Nov 13, 2013 9:13 AM in response to Doctom_66by GuyGene,My iPhone was bought full price at Apple store (to save $ with no contract) and is GSM model. Working great now on Straight Talk!

Nov 13, 2013 9:20 AM in response to GuyGeneby Doctom_66,Mine was full price also (+700.00). Good news you were able to get yours working. I wish there was a simple fix for mine. It's been two months dealing with this.

Nov 30, 2013 1:08 PM in response to Dship10by Alex Bratu,Do you still have visual voicemail as of the 7.0.4 update and the latest carrier update? Did you jailbreak or edit plist or sim swap prior to get visual voicemail working with Straight Talk and if so, what settings did you use? What network are you on with Straight Talk; Verizon, Sprint, or AT&T?
Thanks!

Dec 3, 2013 8:15 PM in response to Sheerin118by Alex Bratu,If I'm not mistaken, this does not add visual voicemail back to your phone, it just makes the voicemail tab in the phone app call your voicemail. This isn't the problem people have here. It's that their VISUAL voicemail isn't working with Straight Talk and even though Straight Talk denies their support of the feature, several users have this feature.

Dec 3, 2013 9:15 PM in response to Alex Bratuby Sheerin118,Most of these people you are referring too might be on something called BYOP (Bring your own phone). In which needs to be unlocked or jail broken. Some of these features like Visual Voicemail do not work. BYOP does NOT Support Visual Voicemail. I added that reply for the fact of what you said. It allows the person to be notified of their voicemail and be able to access it. Visual Voicemail is not as important as being able to access it. Generally Speaking. Most people listen to the message and delete it right afterwards leaving a blank Visual Voicemail page or Save it for a later time. Once the Visual Mail Box is full you have to start deleting. Or no one can leave you a message. However the same thing does not apply to regular Voicemail.
